One of my favorite things about the new Moments Inked Planner System, is the ability to customize it according to my needs! And one of those needs, is to be more organized in sending out birthday cards on time. I am great about making the cards in advance, in fact I often make them a month or more before I need them. Then, I file the card in my stash for safe keeping...where it stays because I often forget to mail it in time.
I decided at the beginning of this year that I would work very hard to fix this, in fact that is the only resolution I made - to send out the cards I make on time!
When I saw the new Moments Inked: Pocket Page die, I started to think about the potential uses (and trust me, there are a lot of useful things I plan on using this die for) and making a card pocket was high on my list! With the larger binding coil, there is plenty of room for adding as many of these pockets as I need! I actually plan on making one for every month!
I have been adding reminders in my planner to send the cards out. Having the cards all ready at my fingertips has been so helpful and probably the biggest reason that I have been successful so far in my goal!
To create the pocket, I die cut the pocket backing using the large page die from the Moments Inked: Divided Die set. I die cut the front pocket sheet using some patterned paper from the Harvest Gold Pattern Pack and the Moments Inked: Pocket Page Die. I added some strong adhesive around the edges and assembled the pocket.
I have found that the pocket will fit three cards comfortably (less if I have used several layers on each card). For months that I will need more storage, I plan on just adding another pocket front to the opposite side of the white backing.
I have placed my April pocket just after the April tab in my planner.
I decorated the front using the Note Niblets stamp set and coordinating Note Niblets Dies. The April die cut was created using the Monthly Moments: Year Round 1 Die set and some Hawaiian Shores cardstock. I am seriously in love with this color combo! :-)

I have a love affair with rainbows and think they are perfect for celebratory cards! Instead of the traditional colors, I went with the brighter version. The stamps and sentiment are from the Beautiful Butterflies set.
For this card, I started with Cover Plate: Center Stage Die to create a bold black and white background. I layered on some flowers stamped and die cut with The Sweet Life stamp set and The Sweet Life Die Collection. The focal image was created using the 2012 Birthday Tags stamp set and the Limitless Layers: 2 1/4" Oval Die Collection.
