Our younger kids don't go back to school until after labor day, but I have been trying to get a heard start on some school thank you cards.  I know I've mentioned here before that my younger kids go to a small, rural school.  It is a great place for them as so much of the curriculum is custom tailored to fit them!  I love it!  It is a lot of work for the teacher though!  I am always amazed at the amount of time and love that she puts into teaching and caring for the kids!

 

I have to say, I absolutely love how this card turned out!  I think it's the bold, bright graphic colors and patterns!  I started with one of the Weather or Dot Quick Card Panels.  I layered on the sentiment (from the Posted Note Sentiments set) using the Circles n' Scallops Confetti Cuts die set to create the circle shapes.  I added the apple from the Class Act stamp set and Class Act Confetti Cuts die set for a pop of color.

 

 

To embellish the card, I added some star die cuts from the Oh My Stars Confetti Cuts die set.

Reverse Confetti August Creative Hop...

Welcome to the August Reverse Confetti Blog Hop!  Today, the Confetti Crew is sharing  Summer Fun projects!

Having five kids of various ages, our summers are usually filled with lots of birthday parties!  There is just something about the warm weather (and possibly the fact that we can host them outside) that gets us in the party mood!  For my projects today, I have created some quick, fun, and bright party favors and a coordinating birthday card!

 

I usually choose party favors that are quick to create but also "fit" the person we are celebrating.  For these, I chose bright patterned paper to create some party favor holders and felled them with candy.  I tied on a tag that I created using the Party Hats set and coordinating Party Hats Confetti Cuts die set.

For the base of the tag, I die cut the party hat (using the Party Hats Confetti Cuts) on a folded piece of black cardstock.  I made sure to position the die so that some of the folded part was still left intact.  I then layered the embossed and die cut front on top.

On the inside of each tag I wrote the name of one of the party guests using a silver gel pen.

 

I enjoyed the bright, neon colors so much that I carried them over to the card!  I embossed three of the party hats adding a die cut tissue topper to the middle one.  I love that Jen included the fringe and topper with the Party Hats Confetti Cuts die set...so fun!  For a little grounding place to tie my string, I added a black die cut border (I used the Wonky Double Edge Scallop Border Confetti Cuts die).

I had a "happy accident" while making this card!  Well, it all started with me being too lazy to change out the white bobbin in my sewing machine!  LOL!  The result is that you can see a bit of the white shining through on the stitching that I did.  I thought it actually made this card better!  Yay!  :-)

Bella BLVD - Family Frenzy

Hi again!  I'm popping in here again to share some more of the cards that I made with Bella BLVD's new collections!  Today I'm sharing projects made with the new Family Frenzy collection!

I really love the bicycle images in the Family Frenzy collection and just had to create a card using them! For the background, I combined strips from the Family Frenzy collection and some Hearts Clear Cuts and stitched them together. I layered on the bicycle border, cardstock, and the bicycle image from the Daily Details sheet to create the focal images. I embellished with stickers, a Crochet Heart, and a heart Enamel DooDad!

I chose and cut apart one of the Daily Details images to be the focal image for my card. I chose some colorful patterned paper to piece together for the background and separated them with a border from the Treasures & Text sheet. I embellished with a sticker from the Little Bits sheet and a crochet heart.

Bella BLVD - New Whatever Is Lovely Collection!

Hi friends!  It's that "we need to get the hay up as soon as possible" time of year for us here on the ranch so my time here on the blog is limited.  I did want to stop in and share with you some cards I made a while ago with Bella BLVD's brand new collections! 

Speaking of new collections, over on the Bella BLVD Blog they are sharing projects made with their new releases all week long!  Yay!  :-)

 

These cards are ones I created with the brand new Whatever Is Lovely Collection!  It is part of Bella's Illustrated Faith line and it is probably my favorite Bella collections of all time!! 

 

I am so loving all of the fun new floral and butterfly patterns in this new collection! I cut out three butterflies from one of the patterned paper sheets scattered them on my card. The black floral piece was actually larger and I cut it apart to better fit on my card. I embellished with a lot of coordinating stickers. The pretty heart paper is from the new Hearts Clear Cut and I thought it was the perfect accent for my card.

I love that there are Clear Cuts that coordinate specifically with some collections! I am particularly smitten with this Philippians 4:8 Clear Cut! I cut out a colorful 3 x 4 card, layered the Clear Cut over it, and added a couple of stickers from the Whatever Is Lovely Treasures & Text page.

For this card, I started by choosing a focal image from the new Art Prints sheet. I then added a background patterned paper and then brushed on a little white paint to soften it up a little. I then layered on some more patterned paper, a tab sticker, and a black piece of cardstock that I did a little fancy stitching on. I embellished it with a large heart from the Guacamole Enamel DooDads.
