Gina K Inspiration Hops Day 1...

The Cast and Crew for Gina K Designs welcomes you to another fabulous Inspiration Blog Hop! My first card features the new Vine & Butterflies set from Theresa!  I am so smitten with that pretty vine image!  To create my card, I embossed the large vine image on watercolor paper using white embossing powder.  I then added some color with a couple of watercolor paints.  The butterfly is embossed on vellum on fussy cut.  It's hard to see in the photo, but I added a little color on the back of the vellum (soft yellow).

My second card features Melanie's new Triple Play Holiday set.  I have been on a twine kick for the past month or two so I was immediately drawn to that image!  For the background, I used the heart image to stamp multi colored heart "confetti".  On the vellum overlay, I embossed the twine image and then added a tag with the sentiment.

Let's Get Our Merry On...

 Good morning!  The new Paper Smooches release goes live tomorrow night!  Yay!  Speaking of the new release, I've got a couple of cards using some of the new Christmas goodies to share with you today!

 

This first card features the new Merry Christmas Word die.  I love Kim's handwriting and it's fun to have it in both stamp and die form!  :-)  I created a little watercolor wash for the background.  The word die is cut from shiny gold cardstock.  A little washi tape for grounding, and I decorated some holly die cuts (from the new Holly dies).

 

My second card features the new Holiday Cheer set.  I used two separate sentiments on my card.  I decorated with some wood embellishments.

You Can Do It...

Hi friends!  Happy Monday!  I mean, it's Monday anyway....so might as well make it a good one, right?  :-)

I had a little time this weekend and thought I would try out a new (to me) challenge.  I was really intrigued by the colors in the ColourQ #309 challenge so I decided to give a go!  :-)

 

 

Aren't those delicious Fall colors?  I thought so!  :-)  Here is what I came up with...

 

 

I used the dark gray as the background, thinking that the other colors would really pop.  I used the new Caffeinated Cups stamp set and coordinating Caffeinated Cups Confetti Cuts dies.  That fabulous sentiment is from the For the Love of Latte stamp set (all from Reverse Confetti).  I also tucked in some leaves, die cut from the new Leafy Confetti Cuts die.

Walk By Faith SFYTT...

Hi friends!  I'm playing along with September's Sketch For You to Try!  You can find all the details on the sketch challenge (along with the fabulous prize you can win) over at the Reverse Confetti Blog!

 

Here is this month's sketch...

 

And here is what I created with it...

 

I used one of my favorite stamp sets from the newest release, Walk By Faith.  For my circle element, I used the Circles 'n Scallops Confetti Cuts die set.  I paired it all with some floral patterned paper.  I accented the circle with some flowers and even though they are hard to see in the photo, some vellum leaves cut from the new Leafy Confetti Cuts die set.

A "Sketchy" Thanksgiving...

Hi there!  Anyone else super glad it's Friday?  This week just seemed to never end, and I am looking forward to the weekend and spending time with my family!

In other news, I'm hosting this week's Viva la Verve sketch!  I kept my sketch fairly simple, thinking that people could either dress it up a lot or keep it more clean and simple.

Here's the card I made with the sketch....

 

I used my all time favorite Verve Autumn set, Tall Oaks (which happens to be on sale right now)!  I wish you all could see this in real life...the whole white background panel is spritzed with a light gold spray and it gives it such a subtle shine!
