As I was sitting down to fill in my planner for the next couple of weeks I realized that November is almost here! With seven of us in our household, being organized and planning ahead is essential for me to actually have time to enjoy the festivities!
I decided that creating some lists, pockets, and even some cards would be a great way to get a head start on my Thanksgiving planning.
Because several of my close family members live several states away, I will be needing to mail out Thanksgiving cards ahead of time.
To keep the cards close (and frankly, so I don't forget), I created a card pocket using the Moments Inked: Pocket Page and Moments Inked: Divided dies.
To make sure that the pocket page doesn't separate from the backing, I stitched them together.
In keeping with the Autumn theme of November, I decorated the front of my pocket using the fun leaves from the Leave It Be stamp set (and coordinating Leave It Be dies). The November die cut is from the Monthly Moments: Year Round 2 die set.
One of my favorite things about the Moments Inked planner and coordinating dies/stamps is the ability to create as many inserts and lists as my heart desires! And believe me, I need a lot of lists in my life! Especially around the Holidays!
The first list that I created was a Guest List. I will use this space to write down the guests we will be inviting to our Thanksgiving meal. I will also use this as a place to record any RSVPs. I created it using some Soft Stone patterned paper and the Moments Inked: Divided die. I decorated the front using sentiments from the Moments Inked: Listed stamp set and a leaf die cut (created using the Leaf Silhouettes die set).
My next list is a place to plan out my Thanksgiving menu. I die cut the list from kraft cardstock using the Moments Inked: Tabbed List die set. Then, I used the Moments Inked: Listed stamp set as well as the Autumn Adornments set. Once I actually have my menu planned out, I will also be creating a couple of inserts (similar to this one) so I can write down my shopping lists.
Here is a look at one of the cards that I have tucked into the pocket. I used Counting My Blessings set along with the Counting My Blessings and Enclosed: Leaf die sets.
The second card that I had tucked into the pocket features the Twig Wreath stamp set and coordinating Twig Wreath die set. I embossed the sentiment (from the Scripted stamp set) using detail gold embossing powder.
