I'm excited to be participating in today's Papertrey Ink's group post! Today we are sharing ideas on how to use the new Moment's Inked products! The following new products will be added to the Moments Inked line up at 10 pm Eastern Time on February 15th:
- Moments Inked: Everyday Symbols stamp set
- Moments Inked: Posted II stamp set
- Moments Inked: Binder Listed
- Moments Inked: Perpetual Daily Pages (in both binder and spiral versions)
I didn't waste any time putting the new stamps and dies to work! I especially love the sentiments included in the new Moments Inked: Posted II stamp set, and how they work with the Moments Inked: Posted set as well! I just wanted a regular sized post it note (Paper Basics: 3 x 3 White Post It Notes) on the cover of my dashboard, so I used the original Posted set to stamp the lines. The sentiment (Don't Forget) is from the new Posted II set.
Speaking of dashboards, here is a peek at my February one. I don't always have a lot of time to create them, but by starting with some patterned paper it's easy to create something pretty in no time! Here, I just added a few punched out hearts (from the Heart Prints stamp set) and the die cut month (Monthly Moments: Year Round 1 die).
On the opposite side of my dashboard, I keep a current grocery list. For this, I stamp the lines, sentiment, and numbers from the new Moments Inked: Posted II stamp set onto a 3 x 6 white post it note. I usually stamp several at a time and find it only takes seconds to complete!
Now, I have to tell you how the new Moments Inked: Everyday Symbols stamp set has changed things for me! I find that I usually need a little visual to help draw my eye to important events or dates. I still want/need room to write so I don't usually end up stamping many things in my planner. But with the new symbols, they are perfectly sized for my planner and allow me to have both the visual image and the writing space!
I quickly decided that I wanted a way to add these to my planner as needed, without having to grab my ink pads and acrylic blocks. My solution was to create custom planner stickers!
I stamped the images that I knew I would use the most onto White Adhesive Paper and then punched them out. So easy! And in just minutes I had lots of custom color-coded images ready to be added to my planner when needed!
I created some pages to store the stickers on and keep them tucked away in the back. I die cut a page out of some Clearly Creative Cardstock (it's a heavy weight clear cardstock) using the middle sized die from the Moments Inked: Binder Page die set.
I backed the clear page with some patterned paper so that the stickers would be easier to see.
I kept the sticker backing on, but added a lit dot of adhesive so that they would stick to the Page. I tried taking the backing off and storing just the sticker, and that does work as well. I just felt the extra thickness made it a little easier to remove from the storage sheet.
I added another page of stickers, using some more symbols that I find myself needing often.
Another of the new products that I am so happy about is the new Moments Inked Perpetual Daily Pages! They come in both the spiral and binder versions. Even though I chose a binder for my planner this year, I found that the spiral version of the Perpetual Daily Pages was perfect for me!
So far, I have been using this to both "plan out" what I want/need in my planner as well as a place to detail some important thoughts. The "Focus" section really grabbed me as a way to incorporate my "One Little Word" for this year into smaller goals. Sometimes those goals are tangible things, but more often than not they are attitude or character goals. I really love having this section!
I don't often have the time to journal, but I like the idea of having an established outline to jot things I am grateful for down. That is definitely another favorite part of these pages for me! Oh, and did you notice that the top does not have pre-printed dates? You can circle the month and day, making it OK to miss a few days if...say, life happens! Ha! An easy, guilt-free place to keep me focused...I will take that any day! :-)
