Kim comes up with the some seriously fun sentiments!  When I first saw this twist on a yodeling sentiment in the new Happy Travels set I squealed with delight!  I mean, how fun is that!?!!  With my husband being from Switzerland this just seemed like the perfect sentiment for us!  We are always teasing him about his yodeling!  Ha!  And for the image, I thought this mountain stamp from the Get Outta Town set was the perfect addition!  After stamping and coloring it, I die cut it using the coordinating Get Outta Town Icon dies (these dies are brand new and will be available with the new release).  I created the tag using the Gift Tags 2 die set.

SFYTT Move Mountains...

 

Hi friends!  I'm playing along with the April Sketch For You to Try!  You can find all the details on the sketch challenge (along with the fabulous prize you can win) over at the Reverse Confetti Blog!

Here's this month's sketch...

 

 

Ooooh, circles!  This one is right up my alley!  :-)

 

There is just something about a simple, graphic style card that gets my heart beating a little faster!  I thought this sketch would be perfect for just that!  I did a little stenciling on the top piece of patterned paper to add a bit of texture.  The sentiment is from The Lord's Strength stamp set.  I die cut it out using the large circle die from the Circles n' Scallops Confetti Cuts die set.

 

 The gorgeous rose image is from the Rose Garden stamp set (cut out with the coordinating Rose Garden Confetti Cuts die set).  I'm pretty sure I mentioned here that this set is probably my all time favorite Reverse Confetti set, right?  :-)  For the other two smaller circles in the sketch, I just added a couple of enamel dots.

Pinterest Inspired Bella Cards...

Hi! I'm up over at the Bella blog sharing some Pinterest inspired cards and I thought that I'd share them here as well!  :-)

Normally when I create, I just start pulling product out.  I see what strikes my fancy at the moment and just start putting it all together.  There are times, though, that my creativity needs a nudge (or two).  That's when I turn to Pinterest!  I tend to be more inspired by colors, patterns, & textures so I usually start with home decor items.

When I ran across this photo gorgeous handmade pillows, I was immediately inspired!

 

I love, love, love the whimsy and bright colors on pillow with the large flowers!  I pulled out papers from several different collections (Fresh market, Sweet Baby Girl, & Sweet Sweet Spring) and started hand cutting some  very uneven circles in varying sizes.  Before adhering them together, I roughed up all of the edges a bit so that each layer would stand out a little more

I added a coordinating Enamel Heart to the center of each flower. For the sentiment, I chose a sticker from the Color Chaos Treasures & Text sheet and then stapled it on to a little ribbon tag.

My next card was inspired by the pillow with all of the lovely ruffles! That and the gorgeous colors! I started by choosing several papers from the Illustrated Faith She Blooms collection. I die cut a large circle out of Mason Jars paper (I used the black and white polka dots on the reverse side) and used it to anchor my design. I created several ruffles by “pleating” three strips of coordinating papers.

 

I added a die cut heart (I used the reverse side of the Bloom Script paper) and then embellished with She Blooms Stickers, Chipboard Stickers, and Enamel Hearts.

Gina K April StampTV Kit Inspiration Hop...

 

The Cast and Crew for Gina K Designs welcomes you to another fabulous blog hop celebrating the new “Sending Love” StampTV Kit. We hope to inspire you with a variety of different techniques and styles used by our Design Team featuring the stamp sets and patterned paper pack from this new kit.

My first card features the new Sending Love stamp set.  This card is actually on its way to my mom.  After having survived breast cancer two times (yes, I did say two times) they have discovered another lump and she will be having it biopsied today.  So, with her in mind I created a pink (of course) encouragement card.

 

My second card features the new Art from the Heart stamp set.  I really love this flower and couldn't wait to try a little watercoloring with it.  I didn't actually want to cover up any of the flowers so I attached the sentiment to the side, creating a little banner.
