Gina K May Inspiration Hop - Day 2...

The Cast and Crew for Gina K Designs welcomes you to another blog hop celebrating the new stamp sets from the May StampTV Release Party! Today, we are featuring two stamp sets by Beth Silaika and Claire Brennan.

The first set we are featuring is Sophie Pig by Beth Silaika. The second and third sets we are featuring are by our new Illustrator Claire Brennan. The sets are Old Country Roses and Fine Feathers. We are so very lucky to have Claire’s illustrator talents on our team!

My first card features the new Old Country Roses set, illustrated by Claire Brennan.  I cannot even tell you how happy I am to see Claire illustrating for Gina K!  Like, jump up and down happy! 

I wanted to create a simple, yet elegant card.  I used the small cluster of roses to create a patterned background.  I then added the sentiment as the focal image.  I embellished with a couple of leafy die cuts (cut out with the Olive Branch die set) and a glittery, pink heart.

My next card features the Fine Feathers set, illustrated by Claire Brennan.  For this card, I started by embossing three of the smaller feathers all over a piece of watercolor paper.  I then watercolored the background using soft, pastel colors.  I embossed the sentiment in gold on a piece of vellum and then stitched it onto my card.

 

My third card features the new Sophie Pig, illustrated by Beth Silaika.  This sentiment, is hands down my favorite in the set!  I giggle every time I see it!  :-)  I wanted something bright and fun, choosing colors that would hopefully bring a smile to the recipient  :-)

My first card features the new Country Roads 2 set, illustrated by Theresa Momber.  I adore this set!  Living on a ranch and being no stranger to the country life, this will be a well used set for me!  :-)

You may have noticed that there are no curved sentiments in the set.  I achieved the curved sentiment but bending the stamp before putting it on the acrylic block.

 

For my next card, I embossed one of the flower images from Melanie's new Fill it with Flowers set onto watercolor paper.  I colored the flower using a few Zig Clear Color markers.  I'm not sure what's up with me and circles lately, but we apparently have a "thing" going!  Ha!  I was so thrilled with how the curved sentiment looked that I decided to do it again on this card.  :-)

For my card, I used the new Love Everlasting stamp set!  I knew I wanted to create a clean and simple card, and also wanted to make it a little modern/hip.  I recently purchased some new cardstock and these three colors were stacked together.  I loved how they looked together and had to sneak them onto my card!  :-)

I absolutely LOVE adding banners to my cards, so when I saw the new Banners Dies I was instantly smitten!  For my card, I added a simple banner die cut out of kraft cardstock.  I really appreciate that Kim includes such details in her dies, giving us the ability to create two toned images from one die!  I considered doing this, but since I was going with a simple theme for my card I left it all kraft.  The sentiment is from the previously released Salutations set and all the pretty foliage is from the Botanicals 2 and Botanicals 3 stamp sets (also previously released).

CardMaker & Reverse Confetti Blog Hop!

Hi friends!  Some of my fellow Reverse Confetti design team members and I are joining in on a special Cardmaker Magazine blog hop!  If you are hopping along, you should have arrived here from Sarah Gough's blog.  If you are just joining me here, hop on over to the CardMaker blog to get started!

 

I'm continuing to build up my birthday stash, and the newly released Boxes 'n Balloons stamp set and coordinating Boxes 'n Balloons Confetti Cuts die set were just begging to be put to use!  :-)

 

For even more color, I added a little banner (from the Bitty Banners stamp set and coordinating Bitty Banners Confetti Cuts die set) on the bottom gift.  For embellishment, I sprinkled on some black enamel dots.
