Bella Blvd & CardMaker Magazine Blog Hop

One of my favorite things about Bella Blvd's products is the bright, happy colors!  I mean, how can now smile when you see these gorgeous colors?  :-)  I couldn't decide on which colors to use, so I went with them all!  Ha!  I created a rainbow of colors using a combination of papers from the Bright & Brave 6 x 8 Paper Pad and Illustrated Faith Die Cut Prompts.

I embellished using several different Enamel Hearts and a little bit of string.  I framed it all with some messy stitching on the background paper.

 Mmmm, this Paper Smooches release is absolutely Autumn-licious!  I just love all of the Fall stamps and dies!  Today I am sharing a card that I made using the new Fall Sampler stamp set!  Using many of the sentiments, I stamped them in different colored brown inks on a piece of lined patterned paper.  For the focal sentiment, I die cut the new Grateful Die out of glittery copper paper and adhered it to a piece of vellum.  I added some leaves, twine, and sequins for embellishment.

Fall Floral Thank You

 

Hi friends!  Today I have a Fall inspired floral card to share with you!  :-)

I know I've said it before, but I love everything about Fall!  The smells, the cooler temperatures, the promise of upcoming Holidays, wearing sweaters, and especially the rich colors!  It was those rich and often golden hues that I had in mind when making my card.

 

I pulled out my Find the Beauty stamp set (from Right at Home) and created this floral background.  I just love all of the little detail stamps that Nicole has included in this set, making it so easy to customize these flowers in so many different ways!  Oh, and here's a head's up!!  I just saw that there are now coordinating dies for this set!  The Find the Beauty Die Set has the most delicious stitched rectangles dies as well!!  I scooped some up as soon as I saw them!!  :-)

For the sentiment, I embossed the thank you from the Script Greetings stamp set using black detail embossing powder.  Here's a tip for embossing over stamped images.  Wait until your images are very dry (usually at least 5 minutes) or speed up the process by using your heat tool.  Even though the ink looks dry, I have found that the embossing powder will still stick to some of the images even though I liberally apply powder from the embossing buddy (a handy tool that you tap onto your project to keep the embossing powder from sticking everywhere).  Allowing the images to thoroughly dry really helps!

Happy Haunting

Hi friends!  I'm playing along with September's  Sketch For You to Try!  You can find all the details on the sketch challenge (along with the fabulous prize you can win) over at the Reverse Confetti Blog!

Here's this month's sketch...

 

One of my favorite things about sketches is that while it gives a certain predetermined structure to your card, there is still lots of room for creative interpretation!  :-)  This time, I decided that flipping the sketch would work better with the images that I had in mind for using.  :-)

I cannot get enough of the Halloween Bits Confetti Cuts die set!!  I die cut the ghost from Cloud White cardstock and then shaded the edges a bit with a very light gray ink.  I created the Jack-O-Lantern by die cutting the pumpkin (using the Pumpkin Patch Confetti Cuts die set) from Tangerine cardstock and the leaf from Lime Green cardstock.  I then added the face (also from the Halloween Bits Confetti Cuts die set) and the stem!  The sentiment is from the Best Witches stamp set.

I used strips of patterned paper from the new Fright Night 6 x 6 Paper Pad in the back.  The super cute stitched Frame is from the All Framed Up Confetti Cuts die.  For embellishment I tied on a piece of Charcoal Twine.

Grateful

Hi friends!  We always get cooler weather early here in Montana, but I can now say that I am fully in Fall mode now!  It helps that it is my favorite time of the year!  Ha!  Homemade spiced cider, pumpkin muffins, apple crisp, hearty stews, and all of the glorious tree colors...love it all!

Since I was feeling the Autumn love today (it helps that it has been pouring down rain all day), I chose to create a Fall inspired card.  :-)

 

I got out my favorite RC set, Blooms 'n Buds.  I chose lovely Fall colors to stamp the flowers and leaves in, then die cut them out using the coordinating Blooms 'n Buds Confetti Cuts die set.  For the sentiment, I die cut the new Grateful, Thankful, Blessed Confetti Cuts die out of some sparkly gold paper.  That fun stitched frame in the background is from the All Framed Up Confetti Cuts die (which is back in stock now).  And just for fun, I sprinkled on a few gold sequins!
