Hi there! Today the Papertrey Ink design team is sharing another round of inspiration featuring the brand new January release!
I have four projects to share with you today, so let's get started! :-)
My first card is a bit of a different kind of card. I created two different openings, allowing for more room for stamped well wishes as well as hand written notes!
I started by stamping the front layer (I used the new Honey Nut cardstock and coordinating ink) with the Boho Rounds stamp set. I added an embossed medallion (also from the Boho Rounds stamp set) on the edge of the first opening.
The die cut sentiment is from the Birthday Cheer die set. After die cutting it using white cardstock, I added some gold embossing powder to the bottom third of the sentiment and then heat embossed.
On the first inside layer, I stamped one of the images from the Script Swirls: Birthday stamp set using Royal Velvet ink. I decorated the edge with a piece of gold washi tape.
I embossed another of the medallions from the Boho Rounds stamp set, this time using Royal Velvet cardstock.
Inside the next opening, I stamped the large half medallion image using black ink. I embossed one of the sentiments included in the Boho Rounds stamp set using gold embossing powder.
Stamps: Boho Rounds, Script Swirls: Birthday
Dies: Birthday Cheer
Paper: White, Royal Velvet, Honey Nut
Ink: Honey Nut, Royal Velvet, Versamark, True Black
Other: Gold embossing powder, Deep Purple embossing powder, Circle Punches, Gold Washi Tape
My next card features the new Medallion Trio stamp set and coordinating Medallion Trio die set. I just love how versatile this set it! You can use it to create elegant cards, fun and whimsical cards, or trendy cards!
I layered the die cuts as well as the stamped images to create a unique focal image. I tucked in some leaves that I die cut using the Branching Out die.
Then sentiment is from the new Keep It Simple: Retirement Mini stamp set. When stamping sentiments directly onto patterned paper, I like to emboss them using black embossing powder so it shows up better.
For the background, I started by embossing the medium sized medallion directly onto the patterned paper using gold embossing powder. I then stamped some flourishes using the Fancy Flourishes stamp set and Canyon Clay ink.
After stamping the smallest medallion, I covered the whole thing with clear glitter.
Stamps: Medallion Trio, Keep It Simple: Retirement, Fancy Flourishes
Dies: Medallion Trio, Branching Out
Paper: Kraft, True Black, Smokey Shadow, Sweet Blush, Spring Moss
Ink: Versamark, Canyon Clay, Sweet Blush, Melon Berry, Autumn Rose
Other: Gold embossing powder, Black embossing powder, Sequins, Beads, Melon Berry Button, Black twine, Clear Glitter
This next card features the new Gathered Garden stamp set and coordinating Gathered Garden Die Set. I just love this fresh and dainty floral set! This set will be perfect for adding little floral sprigs to many different projects. It's also perfect for creating wreaths (which I also love)!
After stamping the wreath using several different stamps from the Gathered Garden stamp set, I layered on the embossed and die cut label. In the middle of the wreath I added a die cut heart felt. I used some Vintage Cream felt and the Limitless Layers: 2 1/4" Hearts Die Collection). I tucked in a piece of True Black Swiss Dots ribbon behind the label and then added a few stamped and die cut floral elements.
Stamps: Gathered Garden
Dies: Gathered Garden, Limitless Layers: 2 1/4" Hearts Die Collection
Paper: White, True Black
Ink: Blueberry Sky, Spring Rain, Limeade Ice, Spring Moss, Bright Buttercup, Pure Poppy, Versamark
Other: True Black Swiss Dots Ribbon, Clear Rhinestone, Vintage Cream Felt, Corner Rounder
My final card features the new Cornered die set. This clever die set is definitely going to be a favorite of mine!
I thought it would be fun to create a mini card, using the Cornered die cut as half of my card.
I tucked in several leaves stamped with the new Palm Prints stamp set. I used various colors of aqua and greens to stamp them and then die cut them out using the coordinating Palm Prints die set. For embellishment, I added some black twine and a decorative button.
Stamps: Palm Prints
Dies: Cornered, Palm Prints
Paper: White, True Black
Ink: Aqua Mist, Tropical Teal, Smokey Shadow, Green Parakeet, Vintage Jadeite, Simply Chartreuse, Spring Moss
Other: Black twine, Button
