It's Papertrey Ink release day! All of the new items will be available tonight at 10 PM EST!
It has been such an honor to share projects along side the design team this month! :-) I have quite a few more projects to share with you this morning as well!
One of my favorite looks lately is bright colors on a dark background! I knew I wanted to try this with the new Grand Botanicals Dies, as the bold images would be perfect for this! I started with a True Black card base and layer (created with the Noted: Scalloped A2 Die set). I lightly rubbed some white pigment ink on the top black layer and then spattered on some watered down white acrylic paint.
I love how the Grand Botanicals Die Set has two parts to almost every die, making it very easy to layer! I finished the card with one of the new dies from the Family Ties: For the Girls die set (by Dawn McVey).
Dies: Grand Botanicals, Family Ties: For the Girls, Noted: Scalloped A2
Paper: White True Black, White, Hawaiian Shores, Tropical Teal, Harvest Gold, Bright Buttercup, Limeade Ice, Simply Chartreuse, Berry Sorbet, Royal Velvet, Amethyst Allure
Ink: White pigment
Other: White acrylic paint, Black twine, Rhinestones
My next card features the new Latin Motifs stamp set. I cannot even tell you how much I adore this set! I combined some bright blues to create this happy birthday card. For the sentiment, I stamped one of the new images from the Banner Style stamp set onto a die cut frame (from the Frames: Keep It Simple die set).
Stamps: Latin Motifs, Banner Style
Dies: Frames: Keep It Simple
Paper: White Linen, Watercolor Paper, True Black
Ink: Hawaiian Shores, Aqua Mist, Indigo (Hero Arts), Blueberry Sky, Dark Indigo
Other: White, Hawaiian Shores
I had so much fun creating the last card that I wanted to try it with a different color combo. This set truly is versatile and works well with soft pastels, bold brights, and even earth toned! I used the same Latin Motifs stamp set and layout but changed the colors and focal images.
Stamps: Inspired: Latin Motifs
Dies: Frames: Keep It Simple
Paper: Kraft, White, Americana, Vellum
Ink: Americana, Scarlet Jewel, Sweet Blush, Melon Berry, True Black
Other: Twine, White gel pen
My next card features the super cute new What the Doodle: Paisley stamp set from Betsy Veldman. I kept my card clean and simple with a feminine color palette. I stamped the largest paisley repeatedly to create the tone-on-tone background. I stamped and die cut the large paisley image using the coordinating What the Doodle: Paisley die set.
Stamps: What the Doodle: Paisley
Dies: What the Doodle: Paisley
Paper: White, Sweet Blush, Dark Indigo
Ink: Dark Indigo, Versamark
Other: White detail embossing powder, String, Keuratake Gansai Tambi Watercolors, Sequins
For this card, I used the new Floribunda Frame die. I added some messy watercolor using my Keuretake Gansai Tambi watercolors. For the sentiment I combined dies and stamps from Dawn's new Family Ties stamp set and Family Ties: For the Girls Die Set.
Stamps: Family Ties
Dies: Family Ties: For the Girls, Floribunda Frame
Paper: Watercolor Paper, White, True Black
Ink: Indigo (Hero Arts)
Other: Keuretake Gansai Tambi Watercolors
My final card features the new Dress Up Dolls: Birthday stamp set. I created a colorful backdrop for these cute images using the Cozy Christmas die and lots of Papertrey cardstock! I added just a little bit of glitter to the bottom of the balloons. I stamped the sentiment on the small stitched oval from the Noted: Scalloped A1 die set.
Stamps: Dress Up Dolls: Basic, Dress Up Dolls: Birthday
Dies: Dress Up Dolls: Basic, Dress Up Dolls: Birthday, Noted: Scalloped A1, Cozy Christmas
Paper: White, Hibiscus Burst, Raspberry Fizz, Berry Sorbet, Orange Zest, Harvest Gold, Limeade Ice, Simply Chartreuse, Aqua Mist, Hawaiian Shores, Amethyst Allure
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, True Black
Other: Copic Markers, Glitter, String
