Welcome back Papertrey Ink's 10th Anniversary Celebration! For ten days, the design team will be sharing projects created with sets from each of the ten years Papertrey has been in business! This blog celebration will include lots of inspiration, contests, and of course prizes! Maker sure to head on over to Nichole's blog for all of those details!
Today, we are celebrating 2009. The set that I chose to highlight today is one that has been in my stash from the very month it was released! Giga Guide Lines was my first taste of the graphic style of stamps and I still love it today as much as I did then!
I enjoyed creating this card so very much! In fact, I wanted to make one in a whole rainbow of different colors! I started by stamping the background. I first stamped one of the images in a medium gray color and then stamped another of the images on top using black ink. I then scored my cardstock at an angle to create a diamond pattern. I then splattered it with some gold watercolor paint.
I added a black strip of cardstock that I had embossed the thank you sentiment using gold detail embossing powder. The leaves are from the Branching Out die and the little gold flowers are from the Garden Garland die set.
For me, this is a very clean and simple card...but the bold, graphic images from the Giga Guide Lines set really make it special!
Stamps: Giga Guide Lines
Dies: Branching Out, Garden Garland
Paper: White, True Black, Gold Luxe
Ink: Versamark, True Black, Soft Granite (Hero Arts)
Other: Gold detail embossing powder, Gold watercolor paint, Gold enamel dot
For this second one, I wanted to use some bright and fun colors. I stamped three different images using different colors for each one. I cut them out using circle punches and a circle die. I topped each circle with a an enamel heart.
I really love that the birthday and wishes sentiments are separate stamps, making it easier to line them up how I want to. Here, I chose to have the wishes sentiment to overlap with the birthday sentiment.
Stamps: Giga Guide Lines
Paper: White, True Black
Ink: True Black, Hawaiian Shores, Raspberry Fizz, Harvest Gold
Other: Circle punches, Circle die, Enamel Hearts, True Black Saddle Stitched Ribbon
I thought it would be fun to share a couple of cards that I created back in the day using some of the sets from 2008 that are being featured today! Damask Designs is another set that I purchased as soon as it was available! Again, the bold, graphic style completely stole my heart! This is part of a mini card set. You can see the original post HERE.
And finally, the very first card that I created with the Giga Guide Lines set. You can see the original post HERE.
