Welcome back to Papertrey Ink's 10th Anniversary Celebration! For ten days, the design team will be sharing projects created with sets from each of the ten years Papertrey has been in business! This blog celebration will include lots of inspiration, contests, and of course prizes! Maker sure to head on over to Nichole's blog for all of those details!
Today, we are celebrating 2013. The set that I chose to create with today might be my most favorite Papertrey set ever! And that's saying something! There is so much to love about the Pedal Pusher stamp set. I really like that you can stamp with different colors, making it easy to stamp the bike body in one color and the tires in another. But my favorite thing is the wonderful different basket fillers...so fun!
I've mentioned how much I love this set, right? :-) Seriously though, it is so easy to use, especially when you have the coordinating Pedal Pusher die set. I wanted to create a girly, yet more modern style card so I opted for some grays and blacks, along with my favorite Hawaiian Shores color!
The background is some polka dot patterned paper that I sponged the Hawaiian Shores ink onto. I framed the sentiment in on a die cut frame (from the Keep It Simple Frames die set).
Stamps: Pedal Pushe
Dies: Pedal Pusher, Keep It Simple Frames
Paper: White, True Black
Ink: True Black, Gray (Hero Arts), Hawaiian Shores, Green Parakeet, Pure Poppy
Other: Silver brads, True Black Saddle Stitch Ribbon
I had so much fun creating my first card that I couldn't resist making another! I started by pairing some Chicken Scratch Gingham Paper with some pretty floral patterned paper I had in my stash. I softened the transition between the two patterns with some torn vellum cardstock.
I stamped the bike in a beautiful Pure Poppy red color and added the flowing flowers and leaves to the basket. I created the blue I wanted (to match the patterned paper) by combing Hawaiian Shores and Ocean Tides inks. The gorgeous scalloped card base was made with the Noted: Scalloped A2 Vertical Die Set.
Stamps: Pedal Pusher
Dies: Pedal Pusher, Noted: Scalloped A2 Vertical Die Set
Paper: White, Chicken Scratch Gingham Paper, Vellum Cardstock
Ink: True Black, Pure Poppy, Hawaiian Shores, Ocean Tides, Sweet Blush, Hibiscus Burst, Spring Moss, Classic Kraft
Other: Enamel Heart, Ribbon
