Hi friends! I'm playing along with February's Sketch For You to Try! You can find all the details on the sketch challenge (along with the fabulous prize you can win) over at the Reverse Confetti Blog! Here's this month's sketch...
And this is what I came up with using the sketch...
So, I may or may not have just received my shipment of Distress Oxide ink pads. Ha! I couldn't way to play and thought that this sketch would be perfect as it has a larger background image. I chose a set that has some open line image to emboss on the background. The flowers in the Love Blooms set worked perfectly! I also love that it has some coordinating bolder images, which I used to create the focal image. I die cut the flowers using the Love Blooms Confetti Cuts die set.
Our little rural school is in charge of organizing the Rural School Science Fair this year. That means recruiting judges as well as other volunteers! There are so many people that give their time so freely to help out and I know we will be needing several thank you cards. I have always loved the thank you sentiment in the Lots to Say stamp set and thought that the bolder style font would work perfectly with my card.
I had so much fun creating the first card that I decided to make a masculine version! I used the same inking technique for the background but used one of the star border images from So Many Stars instead of the flowers. Again, I used the thanks sentiment from the Lots to Say stamp set.
These were both pretty quick to create and I plan on making several more of each today. You can never have enough thank you cards! :-)

Hi there friends! It's my turn to post over on the Bella Blvd blog but I thought that I would share here with you as well! This whole week they are featuring the new Make Your Mark collection, and let me tell you...it is gorgeous!! I am always excited for new Bella collections, but seriously...these new collections are absolutely amazing!!
This first card was inspired by those gorgeous flowers from the Make Your Mark Paper Pieces set! I then spied the stunning pink polka dotted paper (complete with gold foil accents) from the Daily Details sheet and knew it would be the perfect backdrop for the flowers.
I plan on giving this to my daughter for her 21st birthday, so I customized it by adding some gold die cut numbers on top of the flowers. To add a bit more color, I cut a couple of border strips (from the Borders paper) as well as some ribbon and tucked them behind the polka dot paper. I adhered all of this on top of a white cardstock panel that I had previously spattered with gold paint.
The focal image is from the Make Your Mark Gift Tags set. Because I can't seem to help myself when it comes to adding embellishments (and because they are so very pretty!!), I added a Designer Clip on top of the Gift Tag. :-)

One of the things that I love so much about this collection, is the wide variety of color and patterns included on the papers! The stunning painted look makes for such effortless creating! I didn't want to cover up too much of this lovely pattern, so I layered all of my pieces in a cluster. On top of the patterned paper (I used one of the papers from the 6 x 8 Paper Pad), I stitched on a piece of a gold striped clear cut (from the 6 x 8 Clear Cuts Pad).
A piece of coordinating paper, two Gift Tags, and a Paper Piece were all layered on top of the Clear Cut paper. For embellishment, I added an arrow sticker (from the Fundamentals sheet), an Epoxy Sticker, and a couple of Pickle Juice Puffy Stars Stickers.

Welcome back to Papertrey Ink's 10th Anniversary Celebration! For ten days, the design team will be sharing projects created with sets from each of the ten years Papertrey has been in business! This blog celebration will include lots of inspiration, contests, and of course prizes! Maker sure to head on over to Nichole's blog for all of those details!
Today, we are celebrating 2015. The set that I chose to create with today is one that Brushed Blooms. This simple, yet gorgeous floral set is definitely one of my favorites! I just love the painted look, and the gorgeous script sentiment is perfection! Another of my favorite things about this set, is that is so affordable! For a smaller stamp set, you get a lot of possibilities! <3
I love the look of gingham combined with bright, pretty flowers! It makes me think of summer, and I could really use some summer themed thoughts right now! Ha! I chose a pretty yellow gingham for the background. Utilizing the coordinating Brushed Blooms Die Set, I die cut the large bouquet along with a small single bloom.
I used the following Papertrey Ink colors to stamp my flowers: Harvest Gold, Summer Sunrise, Hibiscus Burst, Raspberry Fizz, Pure Poppy, Green Parakeet, New Leaf, and Blueberry Sky.
It's hard to see in the photo, but the dark ink and paper color on my card is Dark Indigo. I just adore navy blue and yellow together! The cute little stitched tag is from the Tag Sale: Quilted Die Set.
For embellishment, I added some string and scattered on a few sequins.
Here's a peek at the card white I was creating it. Hands down, my favorite tool for stamping intricate die cuts is my MISTI! I also stamped each of the colors on the flowers two times to achieve a bright, saturated look.
