Hi friends! Today marks the first of five full days of Papertrey Ink March release inspiration! Today I will be sharing a card I created using the new Courage & Kindness stamp set. But first, for a very limited time (as in it ends tonight) you can receive 10% off of your entire order!! That is one amazing deal!! :-)
This sweet and encouraging set, designed by Heather Nichols, is full of so many different floral elements as well as sentiments! The flowers can be stamped individually or there is an already assembled bouquet . I love having so many different options in one set! And the sentiments in this set are truly unique and uplifting!
I started by stenciling the background using Soft Stone ink and the new Woodgrain Metal Stencil. I am in LOVE with this stencil! Because it's made out of sturdy metal you can emboss cardstock with it (not to mention being very easy to clean)! I really love the look of subtle texture for my background and the sponging does just that, especially in a light and neutral ink like Soft Stone.
After my background was stenciled, I splattered on some black paint, taking care to avoid the sentiment.
I chose to stamp and die cut the individual flowers. I used three of the flower images and two of the flower centers on my card. I added them to my card, popping some of them up for extra dimension.
I wanted a strong and uplifting sentiment to go with my cheerful color palette. One of the best parts of this set is the sentiments, and I especially love how you can mix and match them!
Make sure to check out Nichole's blog today, she is sharing a whole lot of paper inspiration! :-)
Thanks so much for stopping by! I'll be back tomorrow with more March release projects!
