A Flowery Hello

Hi friends!  I have some cards up over at the Queen & Co blog today and thought I would share one of them with you here!

 

My card features the Window Foam Front and Window Foam Front Die. I had a lot of fun creating this one! I started by die cutting the Window Foam Front die using white cardstock. I took the four inner rectangles and sponged them with four different colors of ink and then stamping them with some flowers. I added the Window Foam Front to a white card base and then adhered the sponged rectangles. I filled each rectangle with the matching color Donuts and Tiny Bubbles Toppings. I framed the top by die cutting the Window Foam Front die using black cardstock. I then added some stamped and die cut flowers and sentiment. For embellishment, I created colorful flowers using Lollies as the center and coordinating Twinkle Drops for the petals.

Easter Blessings

Hi friends!  I'm playing along with this month's  Sketch For You to Try!  You can find all the details on the sketch challenge (along with the fabulous prize you can win) over at the Reverse Confetti Blog!  There is still time to enter and the prize really is fantastic, not to mention a crazy fun sketch!  :-)

Here's this month's sketch...

 

And this is what I came up with using the sketch...

 

The sun is shining here in Montana and I've got Spring on my mind!  :-)  I decided this sketch would be the perfect chance to create an Easter card!  I started by embossing the Easter sentiment (from the Easter Blessings stamp set) using gold embossing powder onto patterned paper.  I die cut the sentiment out using the Detailed Circles Confetti Cuts die set.  The background layer was created by die cutting the Drop Cover Panel Confetti Cuts die out of white cardstock.

I tied white string, using the  holes that the cover panel created, to create the look of  the five strips from the sketch.

Sending Encouragment - Bella Style

 Hi friends! I'm up over at the Bella Blvd blog today sharing some cards I created using their Illustrated Faith Basics collection!  The cards I created will be perfect for sending to a friend who needs a pick-me-up!

For my first card, I chose bright and cheery colors.  I started with a strip of patterned paper from the IF Basics Paper Pad.  I chose six cute hexagons from the Daily Paper Pieces pack and added them to my card.

I added a sentiment sticker (from the Everyday Icons Cardstock Stickers sheet) in the upper left corner.  I also added a super cute new Hexie Epoxy Sticker.  To finish the card, I adhered the blessed sticker to the bottom and popped up one of the small Paper Pieces flowers using dimensional foam.

I created this card for a friend who is currently going through a difficult trial.  I really loved this sentiment from the IF Basics Tip-Ins 2 pad and wanted to incorporate it onto a card.  I trimmed off just a little bit from both the top and bottom so that the Tip-In measured 6" tall.  I created a tall card base and layered on some patterned paper from the IF Basics Paper Pad.  I mounted the Tip-In on to the card using dimensional foam

When making the card base, I created the inside flap deliberately wider than the top flap.  I thought it would be fun to stamp a border that could be seen when the card is open or closed.  I then embellished with a hexagon shaped Paper Piece, an Epoxy Sticker, and a sentiment sticker along the bottom.

More March Release - Make It Market Mini Kit: Bloom & Grow

 

 Welcome back!  It's the fifth and final day of Papertrey Ink's March release inspiration posts!  Today I have one card to share with you, but it's one of my favorites!  :-)

 

Betsy's new Make It Market Mini Kit: Bloom & Grow is one of my favorite kits from her ever!  From the stencils and watercolor look patterned paper to the clever way the flowers are designed to pull out of the pot, this is must have kit! 

 

One of my favorite things about the kit is the included papers!  The watercolor plaid is just gorgeous!!  Also, the fact that there are several sheets with the flowers already printed for you (just need to be die cut) makes it great for visual learners to recreate the bouquets with the stencils and stamps!

I actually created my card only using the included die cuts!  After die cutting the pot and large bouquet, I die cut several single flowers and leafy sprigs.  I popped these up for some added dimension.

 

I also die cut a handful of the small single flowers and scattered them around the card.  For the sentiment, I die cut the new Ways To Say: Thank You die out of Luxe Gold Cardstock.  This is my favorite shiny gold cardstock to die cut with.  It cuts so cleanly and the shine really adds to my cards.

More March Release: Nesting

 

Welcome back!  It's the fourth day of Papertrey Ink's March release inspiration posts!  Today I have card featuring Betsy's new Nesting stamp set to share with you!

 

I'm pretty sure this new Nesting set is going to be a go-to set for me!  I adore birds and this set has the cutest ones!  And the egg...SO cute! 

 

One of my favorite parts of this is how you can customize the nest!  The pretty leafy border and coordinating dies make this set so unique!  The extra stamps Betsy included to customize the birds make this a set perfect for year round stamping!

 

I mounted the nest onto a die cut created with the new Mix & Mat: Flourishes die set.  I am a sucker for frame dies, and this one is especially fabulous because of the different dies included to customize it!  I used the main frame die as well as the inside frame die (the one with all the little dots).
