Introducing Make It Market: Market Street Kit

 Hi friends!  I'm so excited to be helping to introduce the brand new Make It Market: Market Street Kit today from Papertrey Ink today!

This new kit is hands down my favorite kit!  (And that is saying something because Betsy has created some real stunners!)  I actually gasped out loud when I first saw it!  The papers are absolutely stunning, but oh my goodness...that gorgeous cart!  Betsy truly has thought of everything!  There are so many special little details that makes this kit an absolute must have!

The new Make It Market: Market Street Kit will be available on June 1st!

 

My first project features two of the three stencils included in the kit!  The store front and street light were both created using the stencils.

I stenciled on top of one of the script patterned papers included in the kit.  The wagon and flowers are from the pre-printed images.  I die cut them out using the coordinating included dies.

One of my favorite things about this kit is the special little details Betsy has included!  See that little sentiment square?  There is a slit in the wagon that it slides into!  How amazing is that?!

As if the card elements weren't enough, Betsy created THE cutest 3D cart!  All of the dies needed to create this cart are included! 

 

After die cutting and assembling the scalloped box, I attached the sides and wheels.  For decoration, I die cut one of the pre-printed flower images and tucked it into the side and then added a strip of lace.

 

Just look at the details on the side posts!!  SO pretty!  This was really easy to put together, making it perfect for party favors or other gifts that need to be mass produced.

I filled this cart with some Caramel Chocolates.  I fit six individually wrapped Ghiradelli Squares in there.

 

For the awning, I sponged on some stripes using the included stencil and Smokey Shadow ink.  The sentiment is one of the pre-printed ones that I die cut and attached to the awning.

My next project features that gorgeous cart again!  Seriously, I cannot get enough of it!  This time I didn't add a pull out message but attached the flowers to the cart.

 

Using one of the patterned papers, I lightly stenciled some stripes for a tone on tone look.  The cart is one of the pre-printed ones.  I stamped each of the flowers and then die cut them out.

 

For the sentiment, I started by die cutting the cute little tag out of white cardstock and then stamping the sentiment on it.  I popped up several of the elements for added dimension.

For my final project I created a little patriotic party favor.  I started by die cutting the scallop box out of white cardstock.  I stenciled on the stripes using the included stencil and Pure Poppy ink. 

 

I filled the box with some red, white, and blue M & M's.

 

I stamped the flowers and leaves using colors that coordinated with the M & M's.  For the lighter blue, I had to "mix" a couple of inks to get the right color.  I did this by first stamping them using Blueberry Sky ink and then Hawaiian Shores ink on top.

Thinking of You - SFYTT

For my card, I started by adding a bit of watercolor to the background.  I then die cut three small Lime Green wreaths (from the Wreaths Confetti Cuts die set).  I added some flowers to each wreath using the Blooms 'n Buds stamp set and coordinating Blooms 'n Buds Confetti Cuts die set. 

I embossed one of the wonderful sentiments from the new One Day at a Time stamp set.

Flowers, Flowers, and More Flowers!

I absolutely love that there is such a variety of flowers in coordinating colors!  If you want pink flowers (like my card below) you have so many different kinds to choose from, making it so easy to mix and match!

 

My first card features two different kinds of pink flowers, Pink Wallflowers and Pink Sparklers.  I adhered them to some die cut white hearts.  The lovely pink gingham patterned paper is from the Flirty Florals Paper Pad.  I normally don't play favorites, but this paper pad is definitely my favorite...I just adore the soft, pretty patterns!

I know that Mother's Day is past, but I think we should celebrate our Mothers year round!  My Mom happens to be here visiting from out of state right now which is such a treat for us!  I was inspired to create some cards to send to her after she leaves, letting her know how much we enjoyed having her with us.  She happens to love flowers as much as I do, so this was such a fun card to make!

I started by adding texture paste to my background layer using a stencil.  While the paste was still wet, I sprinkled on some fine glitter.  It's hard to see int he photo but in real life it has a soft and sparkly look!

Next, I created a floral wreath by adding Blue and Purple Pom Flowers to a die cut.  I thought about adding some smaller flowers but decided that I thought these flowers were meant to be the star of the show!  :-)  In fact, I think I'm going to be adding these Pom Flowers to every card I make from now on!  I love them that much!  :-)  I finished by personalizing the center of the wreath with a Mom die cut.

My first card features the True Friend Foil Mates and Wild Dandelion Foil.  Seeing the image when you first pull away the foil...well, that will never get old!  :-)  I die cut the sentiment out using the Double Stitched Circle Die Set.  I mounted it onto a piece of striped foil mate (from the Stars & Stripes Foil Mates).  I left the background black because...well, I have a thing for black and white stripes!  :-)  For embellishment, I added a piece of Black/Gold Fancy Ribbon.

 

For my next card, I started by foiling the background (I used the Dots & Strings Foil Mates and Passionate Pink Foil).  I love how the foil matches the Gina K cardstock!  Here, I layered with some coordinating Passionate Pink cardstock.

 

For the focal image, I foiled the Birthday Essentials Foil Mates with Passionate Pink Foil.  The top two layers were die cut using the Double Stitched Rectangle Die Set.  I am obsessed with the double stitching dies!!
