Kim is a die genius!!!  I absolutely love this new 3D Cross die set!  I layered the top cross over the larger shadow cross.  I used white cardstock for the top one and a light gray cardstock for the shadow cross.  The feathers, leaves, and flower die cuts are all from the same 3D Cross die set.  The sentiment and little heart stamps are from the new Faith Sampler stamp set.

Creative Envelopes

Hi friends!  I am hosting the Gina K Mix It Up Monday challenge over at StampTV this week!  There's a $20 Gina K gift certificate up for grabs, so I hope you can find some time to play along!  :-)

I'm challenging everyone to show us your decorated envelopes!  An easy challenge that is sure to brighten up the recipient's mailbox!

Probably my favorite cards to keep on hand are thank you cards.  For my sample, I used one of the flowers from Melanie's Stately Flowers 10 stamp set to create a simple monochromatic background.  The large thank you sentiment is from the Massive Messages stamp set.

For the envelope, I just stamped the same flowers in two of the corners.

 

Here are a couple of colored envelopes.  On the Jellybean Green envelope I used both the Stately Flowers 11 and Birthday Blessings stamp sets to decorate it.  For the Turquoise Sea envelope, I stamped is using Theresa's French Flair stamp set.

Celebrate

Hi friends!  I'm playing along with this month's  Sketch For You to Try!  You can find all the details on the sketch challenge (along with the fabulous prize you can win) over at the Reverse Confetti Blog!  There is still time to enter and the prize really is fantastic, not to mention a crazy fun sketch!  :-)

Here's this month's sketch...

 

There I go again...pulling out the Blooms 'n Buds stamp set again!  Ha!  I warned you all...that it is literally my favorite RC set ever!  :-)  I started by cutting three strips of the black and white herringbone patterned paper (from the True Love 6 x 6 Paper Pad).  I embossed the large celebrate sentiment (from the Big Notes stamp set) and die cut it out using the Love Notes Confetti Cuts die set.

 

I stamped the flowers using the following Reverse Confetti ink pads: Iced Aqua, RC Aqua, Lime Green, Avocado, Buttercup, Tangerine, Flamingo, and Rose.

Home of the Free

Hi friends!  Today I have one more card to share with you that I created for Papertrey Ink's June release!  This was such a great release...so many new stamps and dies that have already become some of my favorites!

 

The new Land That I Love stamp set, illustrated by Heather Nichols, is a wonderful summer set!  I just love the mix of fonts that she used in the sentiments.   And those fireworks images...I think they will be great for year round projects.  I have a New Year's card idea bouncing around in my head that I can't wait to try!  :-)

 

To start, I created a very quick striped background by quickly swiping on some paint.  After it was dry, I stamped directly over it using Dark Indigo ink to create the festive background.  I embossed the sentiment onto Dark Indigo cardstock using white detail embossing powder.  I then die cut it out using one of the rectangle dies from the Noted: A2 Scalloped die collection.  For embellishment, I tucked in a bit of Pure Poppy ribbon and added some star rhinestones.

More June Release - Day 5

Welcome to the fifth and final day of the Papertrey Ink June release inspiration posts!  Hasn't this been an amazing release?  SO many fabulous new stamps and dies!

Today, I'm sharing a card featuring the new Hello Mother, Hello Father stamp set, illustrated by Lexi Daly.

For my card, I started by creating a bright watercolor wash background.  I then splattered on some dark blue and white acrylic paint.

 

Once the paint was dry, I stamped the stars onto the watercolor background.  I stamped, colored with Copics, and cut out the moon, tent, and canoe (all images from the Hello Mother, Hello Father stamp set).  For the sentiment, I stamped the "A Little Happy Mail" sentiment from the Keep It Simple: Happy Mail stamp set.
