Welcome back to day three the July inspiration posts featuring the brand new Papertrey Ink release! There are so many amazing products just released, and for five days the design team will be sharing a lot of inspiration featuring the new items!
Today I'm sharing a card created with the new Stemmed Sentiments stamp set and coordinating die set.
There are so many things that I love about the new Stemmed Sentiments stamp set! My favorite thing about them is their size! They are small enough to fit on a card, but large enough to really make a statement! The detail dots inside each image is another favorite. With their open design, they lend themselves to so many different styles! If you love to color then you will love theme! They look fantastic embossed or left uncolored as well!
I've really been wanting to create a rustic card for a while. I didn't start out with that in mind for this card, however. My initial plan was to add the poppy to a crisp, white background. That's when I spotted my long neglected buttons, all sitting so prettily (in rainbow order no less) on top of my large shelf. Why has it been so long since I've added buttons to my cards? I absolutely love the look! :-)
After stamping a couple more images from the Stemmed Sentiments stamp set, I splattered on some brown paint. I then stitched on five Fine Linen buttons.
For the sentiment, I die cut one of the tag dies out of white cardstock (I used the one with the two holes on the end), stamped the sentiment, and tied it on using some Rustic Jute Button Twine. I reached for one of my wooden hearts to complete the look.
Nichole is sharing some amazing inspiration on her blog today as well that you won't want to miss!
Thanks so much for stopping by!
Hugs,
Laurie
