Welcome to the fifth and final day of the July inspiration posts featuring the brand new Papertrey Ink release!
Today I'm sharing two cards created with the new Year Of Psalms: July and Mountain Majesty stamp sets, both illustrated by Betsy Veldman.
Living in Montana at the base of the Rockies, I have a special appreciation for mountains! I don't know what I would do if I couldn't look out my window and see my mountains! :-) So you can just imagine the joy I felt when I first saw Betsy's Mountain Majesty stamps and dies!
The new Cover Plate: Mountain Majesty is pure genius! I love the cutouts that create the serene scene and the added stitching detail around the solid part is just lovely!
I embossed the Year Of Psalms: July sentiment onto the watercolor panel that I had already die cut. I then added some color using watercolor paints.
I don't know about you, but I seem to always need a masculine card but never have any on hand. When I first saw the Mountain Majesty stamp set I thought it would be perfect for stamping some masculine cards to replenish my stash!
I framed the mountain scene using the new Mix & Mat: Postal die set. I thought it would be fun to give it a postcard-like look! :-)
I used masculine colors, stamping the mountain is Stormy Sea, Pinefeather, and white embossing for the peaks.
The sentiment is from the new Keep It Simple: Okay stamp set. Isn't that a perfect sentiment for such a serene scene?
Nichole is sharing some amazing inspiration on her blog today as well that you won't want to miss!
Thanks so much for stopping by!
Hugs,
Laurie
