Hi friends! I'm excited to be hopping along with both the Gina K and MISTI design teams today in a special collaborative inspiration hop! Along with the amazing creations that will surely inspire you, there is also two prizes up for grabs! One lucky winner will receive their choice of either an original or mini MISTI from My Sweet Petunia and the other winner will receive the soon to be released Stitched Leaves Mini Kit from Gina K Designs!
To be entered to win these prizes, make sure to comment on each of the designer's blogs (full list is below). The deadline for commenting is September 5th at noon central. Winners will be posted on the My Sweet Petunia blog winners page and on the Gina K. Blog no later than Friday, September 8th.
If you are hopping along, you should have arrived here from Sean Fetterman's blog. If you happen to have just stopped by to see what I'm up to, you can head on over to
My card features the Boho Flowers stamp set from the Boho Flowers Mini Kit. The coordinating die set also comes in this kit, so it makes cutting out the flowers and leaves a piece of cake! I also used the You die, which coordinates with this set perfectly!
I chose dark, rich colors for my card...perfect for the upcoming Fall season! I used the following Gina K ink colors: Dark Chocolate, Honey Mustard, Sweet Mango, and Jelly Bean Green. The base of my card is Gina K's Dark Chocolate cardstock and I used Kraft cardstock for the focal images.
The Boho Flowers Mini Kit is such a great kit! The stamp set is one of my favorites...AND it has a matching die set! :-)
I'm going to be completely honest here. I use my MISTI 99% of the time when I stamp. I drug my feet for a while before purchasing one, thinking I would just use my old fashioned stamp positioner. Do not be like me! I can't think of another tool that has changed my stamping so completely as this one has! I use it to perfectly position my stamps, such as I did in the photo above. I also like to use it to stamp images two or three times to achieve a deeper ink saturation (I did this on my flowers and leaves). I love this ingenious tool!
Ready for more inspiration? Your next stop on the hop is Silke Ledlow! If you happen to get lost along the way, here is the entire list...
Thanks so much for stopping by!
Hugs,
Laurie
