Hi friends! It's day four of the August Papertrey Ink countdown and I have three projects to share with you today featuring the new Bite Size Tags and Truffle Box Dies.
I have really been looking forward to this release! I love all things Fall and I couldn't be more excited about all of the products this month!
All of the new products will be available at 10 pm EST on August 15 in the Papertrey Ink store.
One of my favorite things about Autumn is all of the baked goods! I love, love, love to bake and the cooler temperatures and slower pace of this season means that I'm frequently in my kitchen whipping up something to share with family and friends! So when I saw the new Bite Size Tags stamp set, I knew immediately that I wanted to create some tags to keep on hand for my home baked gifts.
I kept the design the same for all four tags, just changing up the colors for added interest. I layered together two of the tag die shapes using both kraft and white cardstock. Using my MISTI, I stamped the striped chevron image (my favorite part of the stamp set) and berry sprig on each tag. I embossed the sentiment using black detail embossing powder. I topped each tag with a coordinating circle die cut and Rustic Jute Button Twine.

I may or may not have squealed out loud when I first saw this SUPER cute little box! I adore little gift boxes and especially appreciate that I can create them in any color my heart desires! Wouldn't these make the cutest place settings...name tags and little gift all in one!!
Because I am currently obsessed with all things Farmer's Market, I created a couple of gifties with a fruit theme.
After die cutting the two panels needed, I added some polka dots using the brand new Stencil Basics: Polka Dots and Kraft ink. I die cut the white rectangle using the inner part of the included rectangle tag. The apple image and sentiment are from the Bite Size Tags stamp set.
One of my favorite ways to add highlights and shadows to bold images like this apple is to sponge the ink on. Using my MISTI, I start by stamping the image with the lightest ink. I then ink it up with the lightest ink again but sponge the next color on. Finally, I sponge on just a bit of the darkest ink. I find that the sponging produces a more seamless ink transition.
To add a bit more color to my boxes, I wrapped a strip of coordinating cardstock around the center and tied on some Baker's Twine.

If you've been visiting my blog for a while, then you already know how much I love creating Teacher gifts! I love to have little gifts on hand so that they are ready at a moment's notice. My boys' teacher is especially amazing and is often going far above and beyond for them and I like to show my appreciation. :-)
I started by die cutting one of the large tags and scalloped circle from the Bite Size Tags die set. I stamped the striped chevron image using Pale Peony ink.
I added a bit of Vintage Jadeite cardstock and strip of white lace trim. The sweet bag is one that I had in my stash and thought it would perfectly here!
