Hi there! I'm SO excited to be hosting one of the challenges for Papertrey Ink's Stamp-a-faire 2017 celebration!! Stamp-a-faire (SAF) is like the world's largest stamping party, all online and completely free! To celebrate Papertrey Ink's 10th Anniversary this year the theme is traditional Anniversary gifts. You can find more information about all of this weekend's challenges and prizes HERE.
My challenge is for the 10th year, which is Aluminum + Tin. I absolutely love adding texture to my cards, and the technique I'm sharing is a wonderful way to do just that!
This is truly an easy (not to mention FUN) way to dress up any project! I created a Fall themed card, but this technique would work well for any occasion! I was even thinking about experimenting with different embossing powder colors for a completely different look! Oh, and how gorgeous would this be on a Christmas card!?!
The best part about this technique is that you don't need special supplies! You'll need embossing powders, a black permanent ink pad, and some foil sheets (you can even use heavy duty aluminum foil), which most stampers have in their stash already.
Watch the video tutorial below, or see it on YouTube!
I sure hope you find some time to play along! Also, I will be over in the Papertrey Ink forum chatting away! I hope you will pop in and say hi!
Hugs,
Laurie
