Welcome back to day two of the Gina K. Designs January release blog hops!
We're celebrating all of the new products that were just released with three blog hops! Today we are featuring the new Geo Thanks (illustrated by Claire Brennan), Framescapes - Enchanted Forest (illustrated by Theresa Momber), and You Are (illustrated by Lisa Hetrick).
There is a $25 Gina K. Designs prize for one lucky commenter! Just leave a comment on all of the blogs (blog hop list is listed below) for a chance to win! There is a new prize offered for each hop day, so make sure to visit all three days! The winner will be announced in the Big News Forum over at StampTV a few days after the hop.
My first card features Claire's new Geo Thanks stamp set. Claire thinks of everything! There are outline images as well as bold images that are designed to fit perfectly inside the line images! I chose to work with a couple of the line images and paired them with one of the included smaller sentiments.
The oval die cut was created using the Double Stitched Ovals die set.
My second card features Theresa's new Framescapes - Enchanted Forest stamp set. In usual Theresa style, there are so many different elements included in this set that you can use to customize your card or use to build intricate scenes! I decided to use a couple of those elements to create a soft and girly background. I stamped the two leaf and butterfly stamps using Applemint and Innocent Pink inks.
For the focal image, I die cut a circle using Innocent Pink cardstock and the Double Stitched Circle die set. I embossed a few of the small silhouette images and one of the sentiments using white embossing powder.
My final card features Lisa Hetrick's new You Are stamp set. I am obsessed with this stamp set! I'm sure by now you all know how much I love greenery and flowers. This set has all of that and more!
To create my card, I started by stamping the round wreath image using Distress Ink. I then used my waterbrush to move the color around a bit to give it a faux watercolored look. I did this using my MISTI so that when the first layer was dry, I stamped the image again over the smudged (on purpose of course) one. I repeated these steps for each image.
For the sentiment, I embossed one of the stamps from the new You Get Me stamp set. This set is the current Incentive stamp set, which means it's free with a $75 purchase!
