Can you believe that it's time for the Papertrey Ink January new release countdown already? There are so many wonderful new products in store for you this month and I'm excited to help kick off the new set introduction posts today!
Today we are featuring the new Hinged Gift Card Box die set and Quoted: Friendship stamp set.
The whole Quoted stamp collection (illustrated by Nichole Heady) is one that I just adore! Each little set is full of so many possibilities! I especially love that each and every line is a separate stamp, making it so easy to customize for color and spacing!
For my card, I actually left all of the stamps exactly how they came on to the clear sheet. Instead of peeling each stamp off and stamping it, I added a bit of temporary adhesive to the back of the clear sheet that holds the stamps. Using my MISTI, I embossed the whole sentiment. With the adhesive on the back of the clear sheet that holds the stamps, it stuck to the inside of my MISTI and I was able to stamp it just like it appeared on the index sheet.
I added a couple of pieces of BittyBig: Aqua Mist patterned paper for the background. For embellishment, I added some stamped and die cut flowers from the previously release Farmer's Market Florals stamp set, string, and a few scattered sequins.
My second project features the new Hinged Gift Card Box die set. I am so excited about this die set! Just this past Christmas, I was scouring the internet for patterns to create a box exactly like this! I ended up not creating any because of the time required in hand cutting each box, and we all know how limited time is around the Holidays!
As a family, we give a lot of gift cards. Sometimes it's nice to have a way to create special packaging for them and not just include them in a card.
I started by die cutting the box out of Stamper's Select White cardstock. I then sponged on some ink using Raspberry Fizz, Amethyst Allure, and New Leaf ink along with the Stencil Basics: Hexagon stencils.
I topped the box with a piece of vellum that I die cut using the Noted: Scalloped A1 die set. I tucked in several sprigs stamped and die cut using the Beautiful Berries: Spring stamp and die set. That sweet bird is from a new set by Betsy called Brushed Birds that you will see a little later!
Here's a peek at the inside of the box. There are two dies that come with this set that can be used to personalize the gift box. Here, I die cut the Enjoy die from a piece of white cardstock, added some ink sponging, and adhered it to the inside flap of the box.
For my third project, I created another gift card holder using the Hinged Gift Card Box die set. Besides being adorable and perfect for gift cards, this box is also perfectly sized to other small gifts! Jewelry, treats, and even small tags are all things that I have thought about putting in this box.
To create my box, I die cut it out of True Black cardstock. Before assembling, I die cut the For You die on the top piece of the box. I splattered some gold paint all over and then assembled the box. I love the peek-a-boo look of these dies but also wanted a way to keep in small candies so I lined the inside flap of the box with some Vellum cardstock
I embellished the box with a some string wrapped around a chipboard star.
