Good morning friends!  Today I'm sharing two more cards featuring the Love Jar Kit from Queen & Company (still my all time favorite kit)!

I noticed that this kit is out of stock right now, but don't worry they will be restocking it!  Just add your email where it says "Notify Me When This Product is Available" and they will let you know when it's back!  :-)

 

I don't think I will ever tire of creating shaker cards!  They make handmade cards even more special! 

For the background, I punched circles out of the included patterned paper and arranged them to look like garland.  To finish the look, I stitched through each row.  After assembling the jar shaker, I embellished with some flowers that I stamped and cut out.

 

 

 

 

For my next card, I used the two tag dies to create the focal images.  I sponged ink on to each tag.  For some of the tags, I stamped and cut out flowers.  For others, I arranged some of the included toppings and embellishments to create flowers.

 Hi friends!  Have you seen the brand new Reverse Confetti website?  Jen rolled out the brand new site yesterday and it is is truly lovely!  Clean with eye catching colors as well as super easy navigation are all things that really stood out to me.  I hope you get a chance to check it out!  :-)

Speaking of Reverse Confetti, today I'm sharing a card featuring a couple of my favorite RC goodies!   There are a few more days to participate in thin month's Sketch For You To Try (for a chance to win some great RC goodies!) and I thought I would share what I came up with for the sketch.  This will be the very last Sketch For You To Try but don't worry, something fun is coming in its place.  :-)

I chose to loosely interpret the sketch, opting for ink in place of the solid triangles and changing the square to a circle.  I used to worry about not following sketches exactly, but then realized that the whole point of them is to inspire!  Once I embraced that, I have enjoyed them so much (I've always enjoyed them, but you get the point LOL)!

 

I used two Distress Oxide inks to create my diagonally split background.  For the focal image, I stamped and colored the banner image from the Banner In Bloom stamp set.  I die cut it out using the coordinating Banner in Bloom Confetti Cuts die set and then popped it up using dimensional foam onto a die cut circle using one of the dies from the Lacy Scalloped Circles Confetti Cuts.

For that little extra something, I added a die cut frame from the All Framed Up Confetti Cuts die.  For embellishment, I added some sequins and a string bow.

Throwback Thursday - Quilted: Spring

Hi friends!  I'm participating in this week's Papertrey Ink Throwback Thursday!  I fully admit that I easily get caught up in all of the newest products and tend not to use some of the older items.  I mean, with so many wonderful new products each month it's very easy to do!  That is why I love this feature so much, it reminds me how amazing the older Papertrey sets are and how they never go out of style!

Today we are focusing on the Quilted: Spring stamp set. I really, really love sewing and quilting!  Not because I can do it, though.  Quite the opposite actually.  Sewing a straight line is pretty much all I can do.  Ha!  But I WISH I could!  I love the look so much!  Good thing there are stamp sets like these so I'm at least able to quilt with paper!  :-)

 

I started by die cutting the square quilt out of Aqua Mist cardstock and then stamping the quilt image on top using Aqua Mist ink.

 

I stamped the flowers using Hibiscus Burst and Pure Poppy inks.  I love that the dies for the flowers and leaves are separate so layering them is very easy to do!

For the card base, I die cut the Noted: Scalloped Square Die Collection using Stamper's Select White cardstock.

Because my card front was so small, I really didn't have room for a sentiment.  I decided to stamp it on the inside of the card.  I carried over the card front design by stamping the quilted image using Aqua Mist ink.

More Love Jar Kit Projects

Hi friends!  I'm sharing a couple more cards featuring the Love Jar Kit from Queen & Company!  I know I've said this before, but this is my absolute favorite Queen & Co kit to date! 

 

One of the things that I love so much about this kit is that it is so versatile!  You are not confined to just create shaker cards (although those are SO fun to make) but can use the stamps, dies, papers, and embellishments to create so many different kinds of projects!

 

For my first card, I used the included patterned paper, dies, and stamps to create this trio of jars.  I adhered them to a chalkboard style background that I created by brushing white acrylic paint onto black cardstock.  I embellished with the included rhinestones and wooden hearts.

 

I couldn't help but make another shaker card!  With 9 foam jar shaker shapes included in the kit, there are more than enough to create a lot of shaker cards!  And in case you get completely addicted to making shaker cards like I have, there is a Love Jar Foam Refill set available for under $5!

I kept my card fairly simple and opted for a lot of white space.  I filled the jar with the included sequins and tried to replicate their look by stamping two of the flower stamps on the background layer.

Papertrey Ink April Release - Day 5

 

 Hey friends!  It's the fifth and final day of the Papertrey Ink April countdown posts!   So, what have been your favorite products from this release?  Honestly, I don't think I could choose a favorite!  :-)

Oh, did you all see the Papertrey Ink blog this morning?  They have announced the name of the new Gray cardstock (aka the prettiest medium gray color ever!)!  Make sure to check it out!

All of the new products will be available tomorrow, April 15th at 10 pm Eastern.

 Today I am featuring the new Simple Impressions: Celebrations Kit!  Betsy has designed a kit that is SO perfect for beginner stampers!  Everything (and I do mean everything) that is needed is included in the kit, from the adhesive and ink to the clear block needed to stamp!  This would make such an amazing gift for friends and family who may not have all of the supplies "yet"!  Ha!

Good news for those of you that are more seasoned crafters!  The stamp set from the kit is available separately, along with a coordinating die set!

I created my first card using the Simple Impressions: Celebrations stamp set and coordinating die set.  This is such a great set!  It really covers a lot of occasions, from birthdays and anniversaries to new babies and graduation!

I started by dry brushing some white acrylic paint onto Kraft cardstock.  I really like how it softens the kraft as well as gives it a linen like texture.

I then took the star die from the Simple Impressions: Celebrations and die cut the kraft cardstock several times.  I thought the negative die cut outs would make a great background.

 

I embellished the card with stamped and die cut balloons, flowers, and a banner.  I stamped the sentiment on the banner from the Tag Sale: Quilted die set.

For my next card I used only the supplies included in the Simple Impressions: Celebrations Kit!  I created a rainbow of balloons using these following ink colors from the kit:  Pure Poppy, Berry Sorbet, Summer Sunrise, Green Parakeet, and Aqua Mist.

 

I stamped the sentiment on a curve to mimic the banner.  I embellished with the included sequins.
