Queen & Co Flowers

Hi friends!  I have a couple of cards to share with you today featuring Queen & Company's flowers!  I absolutely love adding flowers to my cards.  In fact, they are one of my all time favorite embellishments!

 

For my first card, I created a wreath using White, Pink, and Hot Pink Layered Flowers.  I love that they already have bling attached to them!  The background paper is from the Birthday Bash 6x6 Paper Pad.  I tucked in a couple of White Starburst embellishments to the ends of the sentiment banner.

 

 

 

For my second card, I used a few of the Black/White Bouquet Bright Flowers as embellishments.  For the focal image, I created a shaker using the Spring Shaped Shaker Kit.  I embossed one of the sentiments from the Summer Clear Stamps set.  For the finishing touch, I added a bow using the Black Paper Twine.

Time to Celebrate!

Hi there!  Happy Saturday friends! Before I share my projects today, I wanted to let you know that Queen & Co is having a fabulous Memorial Day sale!!  You can see all of the items that are 20% off HERE!

Today I'm sharing two cards I created using the Birthday Bash Kit from Queen & Company!

This kit is amazing!  Incredibly fun stamps, matching dies, bling, bright paper, and pom poms!  It just doesn't get better than that!  :-)

 

For my first card, I just had to ink up the balloon image from the included stamp set!  Balloons and celebrations just go hand in hand, not to mention being so fun to fill with pom poms!  I lightly stamped the two star images in on the white background layer using a very pale gray ink.

I strung two of the banner images across the top to make the scene even  more festive.  For the sentiment, I stamped on of the included sentiment stamps along the bottom in black ink. 

 

For my second card, I chose to feature the party hat images.  The little round top is the perfect place to adhere a pom pom, making the hats even more fun!  I used a piece of the included patterned paper and decorated the sentiment strip with a couple of the included Candle Flame Bling.

Papertrey Transformation Tuesday - Thanks a Bunch

Hey there!  Happy Tuesday friends!  Today I'm sharing a project I created for Papertrey Ink's Transformation Tuesday challenge!  The idea is to take one of your own projects that either didn't turn out the way you envisioned or one that you would like to change up a little (either make a feminine card masculine or vise versa).

The card that immediately came to mind for today's challenge was one that I created for this past November's release.

 

 Even though my original card was created during the Fall (so it made sense to use Autumn inspired colors) I was never quite happy with how it turned out.  I absolutely loves these flowers from the Flower Power stamp set and thought they should be the first thing you see.  With my old card, the background and frame was so busy that it competed too much with the flowers.

I kept the overall design pretty much the same.  Instead of dark colors, though, I used a soft neutral color.  I started with a piece of Bitty Big: Soft Stone patterned paper and then layered on a frame I made by die cutting a couple of the Noted: Pinked Edge 2 dies from Soft Stone cardstock.

Because the warm weather has finally arrived, I decided to change up my floral color palette as well.  I chose bright colors as opposed to the darker Autumn colors from my old card.

Throwback Thursday - Shape Up: Onesie

Good morning friends!  I'm participating in this week's Papertrey Ink Throwback Thursday!  We are featuring the Shape Up: Onesie die.  This card sized die is such a classic, one that can flow with the changing styles and trends.

 

For my first card, I created a welcome card perfect for a new baby girl.  I blended the front panel using Distress Oxide ink.  I stamped the sweet little bow background stamp (from the Pitter Pattern stamp set).  I embellished the front with flowers stamped and die cut with Gran's Garden stamp and die set.

The sentiment is also from the Pitter Pattern stamp set.

 

 

I created a very similar card for my second project, just changing up the colors and images for a boy.  The background and sentiment are from the Pitter Pattern stamp set.

The globe is from the new Glorious Globes: May stamp set.

Today we are sharing projects created with the new Sunshine and Love StampTV Kit.

 

For my first card, I used the Layered Daisies stamp set from the Sunshine and Love StampTV Kit.  I LOVE this set!  I have always had a weakness for pretty leaves and this set is full of them!  And those two step daisies are gorgeous!!
 

I stamped the largest leaves image onto watercolor paper and then used a wet water brush to smudge them a bit. 

 

My second card features the Rose Peonies stamp set, included in the Sunshine and Love StampTV Kit.  I am so smitten with Gina's flowers!  She always included the best leaves and swirly vines! 

 

I started with a Slate cardstock base and top layer.  I stamped the leafy vines in Slate ink.  For the flowers, I embossed them in black and filled them in with some messy watercoloring.
