Papertrey Ink Bold Basics

 

 Good morning!  Today is the last of the Papertrey June product introduction!  We are sharing projects created with the new Bold Basics collection!  Kimberly Crawford has designed a stamp set and stencil collection that is modern, graphic, and so very versatile!

 

For my card, I used both the stencils and stamp set to create an ombre inspired square card.  I stenciled on different shades of pink/burgundy onto a square card base.  I stamped the lined triangle image in a coordinating color onto each sponged triangle.

For the focal image, I embossed the diamond image and sentiment onto vellum and then cut it out.  For embellishment, I added some wood pieces that I found in my stash.

Papertrey Ink - Glorious Globes

 

Hi friends!  Today marks the start of another Summer Perks special at Papertrey Ink!  From now through the 26th you can save 10% on select Glorious Globes products!  Along with the sale, the latest installment (Glorious Globes: June) is now available!

 

 

My card features several of the Glorious Globes products: Glorious Globes: Basics, Glorious Globes: February, and the new Glorious Globes: June.  I am totally smitten with the suitcases!!  So fun!!

 

I stamped the new Cover Up: Grid onto a Dark Indigo card base using Dark Indigo ink.  I die cut the circle using the Shape Shifters: Circle 2 die set.

 

The patterned paper is from the new Bitty Big: Tropical Teal pack.  I added in a few strips of washi tape that I found in my stash to help tie in focal image colors a bit more.

Throwback Thursday - Zappy Birthday

Good morning friends! I'm participating in this week's Papertrey Ink Throwback Thursday! We are featuring the Zappy Birthday stamp set.  

This set is SO much fun!  I will admit that our family loves  all of the comic book movies that have been coming out lately!  My daughter, however, is the biggest fan of all and I thought this set would be perfect to create a card for her!

 

I know that pink isn't the color that you would immediately think of when creating a super hero kind of card, but I really wanted to try something different.

 

I created a color blocked background by layering Sweet Blush, Hibiscus Burst, and Raspberry Fizz cardstock strips onto the card base.

I stamped each of the strips using the coordinating ink pads to achieve the tone on tone look.

Papertrey Ink - Summer Perks and Cover Up: Grid

 Hi friends!  Today I'm sharing a project created with the brand new Cover Up: Grid stamp from Papertrey Ink!  I also wanted to share a brand new program called Summer Perks!

 

During the summer, there will be intermittent releases featuring some of the designers from Papertrey Ink!  Along with today's release of the Cover Up: Grid stamp, there is also a sale on all previously released Cover Up stamps!  This is the perfect time to stock up on any of the Cover Up series stamps that you have been wanting!

 

It's not hard to realize how much I love the Cover Up stamp sets!  I really love the backgrounds, and usually choose to stamp them tone on tone for projects.  For today's card, I stamped the Cover Up: Grid stamp in Pale Peony onto Sweet Blush cardstock.

 

After stamping the background, I layered it onto a stamped and cut border layer.  I adhered several flowers, stamped and die cut from the Stitching Garden stamp set.

 The sentiment is from the Penned Elegance stamp set and the label is from the Keep It Simple: Frames die set.

Papertrey Ink June Release - Day 5

Welcome to the Day 4 Papertrey Ink June release countdown post!  Today I'm sharing a card I created using the new Corner Adorner: June stamp set, Sentiment Staples: Sending You stamp set, and Bold Borders: Wave die set.

All of the new products being showcased today will be available tomorrow, June 15th at 10 pm ET.

My first card features the Bold Borders: Wave die set.  I die cut the border die in black and layered it over a white card base.   The sentiment is from the new Sentiment Staples: Sending You stamp set.  Because the Sending You stamp would not fit in the space that I wanted to add it to, I did some selective inking (only inking up one word at a time) and dividing it up in to two rows.

 

The floral images are from the Farmer's Market Florals stamp set.  I die cut them out using the coordinating Farmer's Market Florals die set.

 

 

My next card features the Corner Adorner: June stamp set.  I die cut and stamped the corner image four times and then adhered them to each corner.

For the background,  stamped the Cover Up: Hexagons stamp set on a Harvest Gold layer.  For embellishment, I scattered some sequins on.
