Welcome back to the third day of the Papertrey Ink September release countdown posts! Over the next several days we will be sharing with you so many lovely new products perfect for all of your Holiday projects and more!
Today I'm sharing projects created with the Words to Live By: Joyful stamp set and Bold Borders: Yuletide die set. All of the new products being showcased today will be available September 15th at 10 pm ET.
My first card features the Bold Borders: Yuletide die set. When I first saw this die set I couldn't wait to create a chalkboard look with it! As much as I love the classic Christmas look, I also really love the more modern black/chalkboard look!
To brighten the black up a bit, I added a white layer (I used the Stitch in Time Borders stamp and die set).
To create the chalkboard look, I lightly sponged on some Fresh Snow ink onto the die cut border. For the sentiment, I die cut the Be Merry die (included with the Bold Borders: Yuletide die set) from Luxe Gold paper.
I embellished the card with some stamped and die cut berry boughs (I used the Beautiful Berries: Winter stamp and die set), ribbon, and gold sequins.
For my second card, I combined the Words to Live By: Joyful stamp and die set with the Bold Borders: Yuletide die set.
After die cutting the border from watercolor paper, I added some quick and messy color using my Kuretake Gansai Tambi watercolors.
I wanted to draw a bit more attention to the stamped and die cut sentiments so I added a border of chunky white glitter.
My third card also features the Words to Live By: Joyful stamp and die set along with the Bold Borders: Yuletide die set. I added some stamped and die cut greenery (I used the Holiday Greens stamp and die set) to tie in with the festive leaves in the border.
For the center focal image, I die cut one of the new Pierced Feature Frames: Oval dies using both New Leaf and Staper's Select White cardstock.
To better fit into the oval, I bent the die cut before adhering it. I also stamped the Holiday Wishes sentiment so it curved along the pierced part of the die cut.
For embellishment, I added some Saddle Stitch Scarlet Jewel ribbon.
Thanks so much for stopping by!
Hugs,
Laurie
