Welcome back to the fourth day of the Papertrey Ink October release countdown posts! For five days we will be sharing with you so many lovely new products perfect for all of your Holiday projects and more!
Today I'm featuring the Winter Window stamp and die set. All of the new products being showcased today will be available October 15th at 10 pm ET.
Ooooh, talk about a stamp set filled to the brim with details and customizable options! The new Winter Window is a set that can be used in so many different ways!
I chose to create my card with the perception of the inside looking out.
For the background, I wanted achieve a wallpaper look so I stenciled on a pattern (using the Stencil Basics: Diamonds) and then added a scored piece of cardstock along the bottom.
I added the sentiment on top of the card using True Black and Enchanted Evening ink.
I added some dark Indigo, deep purple, and black watercolor paint to create the night sky. I embossed the snowfall image on top using white detail embossing powder. I tucked the tree in between the layer so that it appeared closest to the window.
The window dressing is probably my favorite part of the card. My husband is from Switzerland and some of my favorite Christmas memories are from visiting his family during the holidays. So many people have real candles burning in their windows on Christmas Eve...it's such a lovely sight! This candle image, tucked away in the greenery sprig, reminded me of my time there. :-)
