Welcome back to the second day of the Papertrey Ink December release countdown posts! Over the next several days we will be sharing with you so many lovely new products perfect for celebrations, parties, and so much more!
Today we are featuring: Perfect Match stamp set, Love In Bloom Stamp Set, and Nesting Basics: Pierced Circles die set. All of the new products being showcased today will be available December 15th at 10 pm ET.
My first card features the new Perfect Match stamp and coordinating die set. My favorite thing about Lexi's sets are how FUN they are!
I created a masculine Valentine's card using both the Perfect Match stamp set and Nesting Basics: Pierced Circles die set.
For the background, I started by ink blending yellows, oranges, and reds. I splattered it with water and then used a paper towel to dry the water splatters and lift the color off. After it was dry, I stamped the smallest heart from the Perfect Match stamp set in coordinating ink colors for a subtle tone on tone effect. I embellished with stamped and die cut match and flame images.
To create the top layer, I die cut a circle to create a peek a boo frame. I then used three of the Nesting Basics: Pierced Circles dies to create the textured circles. I wasn't happy with just a plain white layer so I decided to do some more ink blending. I chose Soft Stone, Weathervane, and Smokey Shadow ink colors. For even more texture, I splattered on some black paint.
My second card features the new Love In Bloom stamp and coordinating die set. I just have to say how much I LOVE this set! Yes, the overall shape is a heart and is admittedly perfect for Valentine's Day but with so many different sentiments included this truly is a versatile set! Just by changing up the colors, this set would work for almost any occasion!
I chose the Congratulations sentiment and embossed it onto a die cut banner (I used the Skinny Mini die set). For embellishment, I added ribbon, string, and an epoxy dot.
To soften the patterned paper (Bitty Big: Pink Posey) a bit I added a strip of vellum. Along the bottom, I added some clear prisma glitter.
