Ooooohhhh my goodness! I can't even tell you how excited I was when I first saw the new Tag Creations: Blooming Indulgence die set! This is the die set that I have been wanting for a long time! I heart this set SO much!
I created a whitewashed looking brick background using the new Rustic Brick stamp set. I started by dry brushing some white acrylic paint onto Scarlet Jewel cardstock. I then sponged some Scarlet Jewel ink onto a few places. After the ink was dry, I embossed the brick image using a dark red pigment ink and clear embossing powder. Normally, I would just use Versamark and clear embossing powder but I wanted it to show up on the white parts as well.
These flowers were SO easy to die cut and assemble! It definitely helps to look at the die set guide. At least it did for me. I'm a visual person, so seeing how all of the pieces were designed to work together really did help me. One of the great things about this set is that you can use all of the included layers or just a few. They work either way!
The new Many Anemones set is definitely going to become a staple for me! I love that you have so many options with this set. There are the outline images that you could color in yourself or you could use the solid image stamps to add color. The dies set also contains another option with both the outline and solid image dies.
The Loosely Woven background is also going to be a staple for me! I adore the added texture it provides! Here, I embossed it in white onto a piece of Soft Stone cardstock. I added some light Aqua Mist ink sponging in various spots.
I embossed the sentient (included in the Many Anemones set) on top of the embossed woven background. I used my Onyx Versafine ink pad and clear embossing powder. Black detail embossing powder would probably have looked better but I was afraid of the having black embossing powder specks everywhere since I was embossing on top of an already embossed image.
To ground the card, I wrapped some Rustic Button Twine around the bottom several times before tying a bow.
Make sure to check out the new Ink to Paper blog!
Thanks so much for stopping by!
