Welcome back to the second day of the July Ink to Paper release posts! There are some fabulous new products being released this month and for the next several days we will be sharing projects created with them. All of the new products will be available July 15th at 10 pm ET!
Today we are featuring the following new products: Gift Card Holder: Pencil die set, To Die For Sentiments die set, and Bon Voyage stamp set.
I love, love, LOVE this die set!! I have always been fond of gift card holders, especially ones that I can gift to my children's teachers! These pencils are absolutely perfect! And they are SO fun to make!
I couldn't decide which color to create with, so I decided to create a rainbow of pencils! I added sentiments from the new To Die For Sentiments collection. In particular, I chose all of the cursive sentiments. I thought they went well with the pencils! :-)
After all of the pieces were die cut, I stenciled dots and diamonds onto the pencils. I also sponged some ink onto the end of each pencil, using the same color of ink as the cardstock. I really like the tone on tone look for backgrounds.
I decorated each pencil with flowers and leaves from the It's A Sign: Beautiful stamp set.
Here's what the insert looks like. The pencil acts like a pocket and the insert slides in and out from the top. It really is a genius design! I also love that the tabs to hold the gift card are already cut into the insert. So easy!
Bon Voyage is another set that I am SO excited to have!! My five year old son loves airplanes so I definitely will be getting a lot of use out of this set!
I created the background by stenciling the Sunburst Stencil using Lemon Tart and Harvest Gold inks.
I absolutely adore the banners included in this set! Seriously, this is such a charming set!
