Welcome back to day two of the Ink to Paper September release countdown posts You are in for such a treat this month...just wait until you see all the goodies coming your way! As always, the release will go live on the 15th of the month at 10 pm ET.
Today we are sharing projects featuring the new Deco Notes, Seasons of Joy, and Splendid Snowflakes.
Okay, I'm just going to say this...SNOWFLAKES y'all! I love them! I love them for backgrounds, for focal images, for tags, and well...for all the things! :-) And the new Splendid Snowflakes set (and coordinating dies YAY!) is the prefect set!
The set has two different snowflake styles with three different sizes each. For my card I stamped the two smaller snowflakes using Weathervane and Fresh Snow ink.
After I stamped the background, I splattered on some white paint. Once the paint was dry (which I helped with my heat tool LOL), I embossed the Tidings of sentiment using white detail embossing powder.
I'm pretty sure the new Seasons of Joy set is going to be one of my Christmas favorites. I absolutely adore the wreath! And the sentiments are perfect!
I am really digging the resurgence of past design trends! Art Deco is making a come back and I have to say that I'm really enjoying it! I especially like the clean, modern feel the new Deco Notes set has.
I went with the traditional white, black, and gold color combo. I focused more on the white in keeping with the clean and airy feel the set portrays.
So that the sentiment strip would stand out a bit more, I added a vellum layer. After tearing the bottom edge, I embossed both top and bottom edges using gold embossing powder.
Thanks so much for stopping by today!
Hugs,
Laurie
