This is the second day of the week long gift packaging feature over at the Ink to Paper blog! I'm up today and I'm sharing a couple of gift card packaging ideas!
We give a lot of gift cards in our family. As convenient as they are (for both the giver and recipient), they can sometimes feel impersonal. I have found that by dressing up the packaging, it can make it feel much more heartfelt and personalized!
When I first saw the Cup of Love die set I immediately thought of ALL the coffee gift cards I give throughout the year and how absolutely perfect this will be to package them!
Because this will be a Christmas gift, I dressed up the mug using holiday images and colors. For the background, I stenciled it using the Woodgrain stencil (from Papertrey) and Tropical Teal ink. The flowers and sentiment are from the Framing Florals: Christmas set.
One thing that I love to do is to coordinate the colors (and images if possible) with the gift cards. For this card I drew out the teal and gold colors.
Here's a peek at the inside. The sentiment is from the Inside Greetings: Blessed Beyond Measure set.
This die set doesn't actually have a way to secure the gift card. You could adhere the mug pieces together to create a pocket (like I did on one of my release projects) and tuck the gift card inside. You could then tie it to a package or just tuck it as is into an envelope. I decided to just use a strip of double sided adhesive tape to secure this one.
For my second gift card holder, I used the previously released Go-To Gift Card Holder: Pencil die set. Although this die set isn't necessarily holiday themed, I changed that by using Christmas themed images and dies. These would be perfect for school gifts (teachers, secretaries, aides, etc.)!
I have to say that I really love how these turned out! The softer colors and modern image/sentiment from the Deco Notes set really give it a fun look!
I embellished with die cuts from the Tag Creations: Modern Gift die set.
I stamped one of the sentiments from the Inside Greetings: Holiday Magic set underneath where the gift card is held.
Thanks so much for stopping by!
