Ink to Paper January Release - Day 4

Welcome back to the fourth and final day of the January Ink to Paper new release posts!  As always, the release will go live on the 15th of the month at 10 pm ET.

Today we are sharing projects featuring the Birthday Bouquet stamp and die set, Border Bling: Skinny Frame die, and To Die For Sentiments: Birthday dies

My first card features the lovely new Birthday Bouquet stamp and die set.  This set is definitely on my favorite florals list!  These flowers are perfect for so many different techniques:  ink blending, watercolors, colored pencils, embossing, or just basic stamping!

I started with a stenciled background.  I thought the Tropical Teal would set these Spring colored blooms off perfectly.

I absolutely ADORE the scripty font in this set!  In my mind, this is what I picture my handwriting would look like in a perfect world.  When in reality it looks like my six year old attempting cursive with his non-dominant hand!  LOL! 

 

 

 

My second card features the new To Die For Sentiments: Birthday die set as well as the Border Bling: Skinny Frame die.

I used the frame die to create a shaker card...perfect for festive birthday wishes!

I die cut the frame several times from Pure Poppy cardstock as well as foam.  After I adhered them together I used a red permanent marker to color the sides of the foam so it didn't stick out as much.

For the sentiment, I die cut the Celebrate die (from the To Die For Sentiments: Birthday die set) three times.  I added a bit of ink shading to the bottom of the die cuts so that they would stand out against the busy patterned paper a bit more.

Ink to Paper January Release - Day 3

Welcome back to the third day of the January Ink to Paper new release posts!   For the next several days we will be sharing with you projects created with the brand new products!  As always, the release will go live on the 15th of the month at 10 pm ET.

Today we are sharing projects featuring the Sweet Celebrations stamp and die set, On The Border: Sunburst Frame die, and Just Sentiments: Belated Birthday stamp set.

 

My first project features the On The Border: Sunburst Frame die.  I am obsessed with this die!  I love how fine the sunbursts are and draw attention to the center!

The sentiment is from the new Just Sentiments: Belated Birthday stamp set.  These Just Sentiments sets are truly must have sets.  Not only do they have a great variety of sentiments and fonts included in each set but they are so affordable as most only cost $5!

For embellishment, I added a wooden butterfly, sequins, and flowers from the It's A Sign: Birthday Sentiments set.

 

 

My next card features the new Sweet Celebrations stamp and die set.  I LOVE this cupcake!!!  And that strawberry (with the super cute embossed details) is the sweetest accent!

I pulled my color combo from the patterned paper I used in the background.  For embellishment, I sprinkled on several sequins.

Because you can never have enough sparkle, I added some glitter to the frosting.  :-)

Ink to Paper - January Release Day 2

Welcome back to the second day of the January Ink to Paper new release posts!   For the next several days we will be sharing with you projects created with the brand new products!  As always, the release will go live on the 15th of the month at 10 pm ET.

Today we are sharing projects featuring the It's A Sign: Birthday Sentiments stamp set, Border Bling: Embossed Skinny Frame die, Sprinkles Galore stamp set, and It's A Sign: Happy Birthday die.

 

My first card features the new It's A Sign: Birthday Sentiments stamp set.  I also used the new Border Bling: Embossed Skinny Frame die.

 

To enhance the border frame (I used the Border Bling: Embossed Skinny Frame die and Soft Stone cardstock) I added two thin strips of Bitty Big: Soft Stone patterned paper at the top and bottom.

Using a handful of stamped and die cut leaves, I created a floral swag.  I added a few flowers stamped in Autumn Rose, Dark Indigo, and Honey Nut.  The fun sentiment is also from the It's A Sign: Birthday Sentiments set.

 

 

 

 

My next card also features the It's A Sign: Birthday Sentiments stamp and die set.  I created a fun color blocked background by using three different ink colors and ink blending them.

I started with the Mint Julep color and some masking tape to get the crisp, clean lines.  I then moved the tape, making sure to over lap the Mint Julep color a bit and then blending on some Aqua Mist.  I repeated that process for the Blueberry Sky ink.

 

I die cut and stamped three flowers using Harvest Gold, Pure Poppy, and Raspberry Fizz.  I added some coordinating buttons the center of each flower.

 

 

 

 

 

My final card features the Sprinkles Galore stamp set along with the It's A Sign: Happy Birthday die.

I started by doing a quick watercolor wash on the background.  After that was completely dry I embossed one of the images from the Sprinkles Galore stamp set using white detail embossing powder.

 

I added a couple of images from the Balloons Galore stamp and die set to add to the festive birthday theme.

Ink to Paper - January Release Day 1

Welcome to the first day of the January Ink to Paper new release posts!   For the next several days we will be sharing with you projects created with the brand new products!  As always, the release will go live on the 15th of the month at 10 pm ET.

Today we are sharing projects featuring the Balloon Wishes stamp and die, Border Bling: Dotted Skinny Frame, Inside Greetings: Birthday Wishes stamp set, and On The Border: Sunburst Border die.

I love balloons!  I love giving them to others, I like receiving them, and I especially like creating with them!  :-)  This set (Balloon Wishes) is the perfect mix of festive and fun! 

 

I thought a chalkboard type of background would work well to set off the colorful balloons and hearts.  One of my favorite things about this set is the separate stripe images.  They make it so easy to create multi colored balloons.

I framed all of the balloon and heart images with the new Border Bling: Dotted Skinny Frame die.  That little bit of embossed detail in the frame is such a great touch!

My next card features the new Inside Greetings: Birthday Wishes set, On The Border: Sunburst Border, Border Bling: Dotted Skinny Frame, and Balloon Wishes set.

 

After die cutting the sunburst border, I added some color by ink blending Harvest Gold and Summer Sunrise ink onto it..  I again used the Border Bling: Dotted Skinny Frame die to frame everything.

For a pop of color, I stamped the little heart trio image from the Balloon Wishes stamp set.  I added a bit of glitter to the hearts for some sparkle!
