Ink to Paper - February Release Day 4

Welcome back to the fourth and final day of the February Ink to Paper new release posts!    As always, the release will go live on the 15th  (tomorrow) of the month at 10 pm ET.

Today we are sharing projects featuring the new Bouquet Backdrop die, Border Bling: Chain die, and Inside Greetings: Get Well stamp set.

My first card features the new Bouquet Backdrop and Border Bling: Chain die.  I am head over heels and full on swooning over the new Bouquet Backdrop die!  Isn't it just SO pretty!?!!

 

I love that it is bold enough that it can just be die cut in a single color and still look fabulous!  Of course it would be gorgeous colored in as well using ink pads, watercolor, or even color pencils as well.

The Border Bling: Chain die is also a fun new die and looks lovely die cut or embossed.  I thought that embossing it would work better for my card with the bold black die cut bouquet.

For the sentiment, I die cut the To Die For Sentiment: Cursive Thanks die and combined it with a stamp from the Just Sentiments: Tagged set.

 

 

My second card features the new Border Bling: Chain die along with the Inside Greetings: Get Well stamp set.  I love this mix of get well greetings.  These are definitely sentiments that fill a much needed place in my stamp arsenal. 

 

As much as I like the Chain border, I thought it would be fun to create a background with it.  I die cut the frame four times and snipped off the ends.  The chain strips fit together perfectly, nestling into each other making it easy to adhere together.

 

After stamping one of the sentiments from the Inside Greetings: Get Well set, I surrounded it with die cut and stamped flowers from the new Blossoming Branches set.  The Be Well sentiment is from the Frame It Out: Wishes die set.

Ink to Paper - February Release Day 3

Welcome back to the third day of the February Ink to Paper new release posts!   For several days we will be sharing with you projects created with the brand new products!  As always, the release will go live on the 15th of the month at 10 pm ET.

Today we are sharing projects featuring the new Risen stamp and die set, To Die For Sentiments: Happy Easter die set, Love My Peeps stamp and die set, and Border Bling: Skinny Stitched Frames die set.

My first card features the new Risen stamp set.  This is such a lovely and unique set!  I love the combination of leafy sprigs and watercolor style flowers.

 

I created a quick watercolor wash using yellow and orange watercolor paints.  After the paint was dry, I used the smaller Dots stencil and white stencil paste to add texture.

 

For embellishment, I die cut some flowers using felt and the Bold Blooms die set. 

 

 

 

My next card features the new To Die For Sentiments: Happy Easter die.  I am really loving the To Die For Sentiments collection!

I kept my design simple as I wanted to create a masculine Easter card.  I also wanted to keep the color combo neutral, using gold, black, white, and gold.

I added one of the sentiments from the Risen stamp set.  To tie in the gold on the sentiment, I added a small strip of gold underneath the sentiment strip.

 

 

 

My next card again features the new Risen stamp set.  I die cut the On The Border: Sunburst die, sponged on a bit of Harvest Gold ink, and tucked it underneath the top of the background layers.  I was going for the early morning sunrise look.  :-)

After stamping the leaves and flowers I realized that I was hoping the colors would stand out a bit more.  I decided to cover the entire cross with clear detail embossing powder.  I inked the whole thing up using Versamark ink, sprinkled on the embossing powder, and then heat set it.  I love how vibrant the colors look now!

Because I can never say no to glitter, I added some fine glitter to the torn vellum edges.

 

How cuuuuuuutttte is this new Love My Peeps set??!!!  I love it so much!  I also love how many of the images have both a bold and outline image.

It's been too long since I created using rainbow colors and I thought this set would be perfect for that!

Ink to Paper February Release - Day 2

Welcome back to the second day of the February Ink to Paper new release posts!   For the next several days we will be sharing with you projects created with the brand new products!  As always, the release will go live on the 15th of the month at 10 pm ET.

Today we are sharing projects featuring the new Bold Blooms stamp set, Border Bling: Embossed Frames die set, and To Die For Sentiments: Risen die set.

My first card features both the Bold Blooms set and To Die For Sentiments: Risen die.  I chose colors that, to me, don't necessarily scream Easter.  I do love the pretty pastels but I really wanted to go with some modified jewel tone colors.

For the background, I embossed (instead of die cutting) using the On The Border: Sunburst Frame die.  I sponged on some Harvest Gold ink and then splattered on some gold watercolor paint.

After die cutting and stamping the flowers from the Bold Blooms set, I splattered each of the flowers with coordinating watercolor paint.  I love the added texture it gives them!

For the sentiment, I die cut the To Die For Sentiments: Risen die from textured gold cardstock.  So that it stands out a bit more from the background, I layered it onto two more die cut from white cardstock.

 

 

For my next card, I again used the Bold Blooms stamp set.  It's hard to believe, but I didn't use any dies at all on this card! 

For the background, I dry brushed on some acrylic paint onto white cardstock.  I started with white acrylic paint and then created some custom colors using my Papertrey ink refills!

For the flowers, I embossed them onto the painted background using black detail embossing powder.

 

 

My final card features the new Border Bling: Embossed Frames die set as well as some more flowers and leaves from the Bold Blooms set.

After die cutting and stamping the flowers, I covered them in clear glitter.  I just love the soft and dreamy look it gives them!

Oh em gee!!  You all are going to LOVE this release!  Take this Blossoming Branches set...isn't it amazing?  I adore the flowers so much!  The mix of sentiments are lovely as well!

 

I am also in love with the new Border Bling: Skinny Vees Frames die set!  The embossed details add the perfect about of texture and pattern while still being subtle.

For the background, I added a piece of Bitty Big: Raspberry Fizz patterned paper.  I softened the background a bit by adding a piece of vellum cardstock.
