Welcome back to the fourth and final day of the May Ink to Paper new release posts! As always, the release will go live on the 15th of the month at 10 pm ET (tomorrow). SO many fun and beautiful products in this release, perfect for spreading some a little sunshine to to loved one and friends!
Today we are sharing projects featuring the new Nifty Plaid stamp set, To Die For Sentiments: Father's Day die, Just Sentiments: Father's Day stamp set, and Border Bling: Diamonds die set.
My first card features the new Nifty Plaid stamp set and To Die For Sentiments: Father's Day die. My favorite thing about this sentiment die is how large and bold it is. It makes adding additional images unnecessary.
I used the emboss resist technique to create a colorful backdrop for the focal sentiment. After embossing the Nifty Plaid stamp onto watercolor paper, I added a quick watercolor wash. I then splattered it using some black paint for some added texture.
I die cut the background using one of the Skinny Frames: Diagonal Border dies. I seriously LOVE these new border dies!
I find that stacking die cut sentiments together gives them more stability. Here, I die cut two and adhered them together using spray adhesive.
For my second card I again used the new Nifty Plaid stamp set. This time, I created a soft, feminine card.
After stamping the Nifty Plaid in Weathervane ink, I stamped one of the smaller flowers from the new Wild Fields set using Lilac Grace ink.
I embellished the card using more die cut and stamped flowers from the Wild Fields set.
My final card features the new Border Bling: Diamonds die set and Just Sentiments: Father's Day stamp set.
I kept the design simple and modern, using True Black and Weathervane cardstock.
I embossed one of the sentiments from the new Just Sentiments: Father's Day set using gold embossing powder.
Thanks so much for stopping by!
