Ink to Paper - June Release Day 4

Welcome to the fourth and final day of the June Ink to Paper new release posts!   As always, the release will go live on the 15th of the month at 10 pm ET, which means that all of the new products that you've seen the past few days will be available tomorrow!

Today we are sharing projects featuring the new Love to Layer: Scalloped Circles die set, To Die For Sentiments: You Brighten My Day die, Deer Friend stamp and die set, Border Bling: Tribal Frame die, and To Die For Sentiments: Hope Your Days Are Bright.

My first card features both the Love to Layer: Scalloped Circles die set and To Die For Sentiments: You Brighten My Life die.

 

On of my favorite background to create is to "scatter" several circles on a card base.  I think they are so lovely and work for so many different occasion cards! 

Here, I sponged each one using Distress Oxide inks.  I the spritzed with water and then splattered on some white paint.

For the sentiment, I die cut three (using the To Die For Sentiments: You Brighten My Life die) and then adhered them together using spray adhesive.

For embellishment, I added coordinating sequins to each circle.

 

 

My second card features the new Love to Layer: Scalloped Circles die set.  It's been a while since I created a shaped card (which is a shame because they are SO FUN to make) and I thought these dies would be perfect for that!

I added a second circle layer (also included in the Love to Layer: Scalloped Circles die set) and then sponged some dots on using the Stencil Basics: Dots stencil.

I added some flowers from the Flourishing Florals (one of my fave floral sets) and then nestled the sweet little bird (from the Feathered Friends Mini 1 set) right in the middle of the blooms.

The sentiment is also from the Feathered Friends Mini 1 set.

 

 

 

For my next card, I wanted to create a very simple design. I really wanted to use this particular sentiment (from the new Dear Friend) set and thought a simple and serene design would suit it well.

 

How fabulous is this new border?!!!  I used the Border Basics: Rectangle die to die cut a simple rectangle frame.  I then ran it through my die cutting machine again using the new Border Bling: Tribal Frame die.  Then end result is this gorgeous embossed frame.  The detail is just stunning, isn't it?!!

For a pop of color, I die cut the branch (from the Dear Friend die set) twice, using Smokey Shadow and Ripe Avocado cardstock.

Ink to Paper - June Release Day 3

Welcome to the third day of the June Ink to Paper new release posts!   As always, the release will go live on the 15th of the month at 10 pm ET. 

Sooo, are you guys loving all the new goodies?  See what I mean about this being such an amazing release?  ❤️

Today we are sharing projects featuring the new Vintage Postage Stamp, Vintage Postage Stamp Sentiments, Border Bling: Postage Frames die set, Border Bling: Skinny Postage die set, Feathered Friends Mini 1 stamp and die set, and Feathered Friend 1 die set.

This set...oh how I love it!  The best part of the Vintage Postcard stamp set is you can use it with practically any image!

 

All of the sentiments I used on this card are from the Vintage Postcard Sentiments stamp set.  I love how there are different sentiments included that enable you to create custom greetings!

 

After embossing the Vintage Postcard image  using clear embossing powder, I lightly sponged on some Aqua Mist ink to the edges.  I decorated the top of the oval with stamped and die cut flowers from the Pleasing Envelope: Special Delivery set.

 

 

This card makes me so happy!  I adore creating using dark backgrounds.  I especially love pairing it with bold and bright images...they really pop! 

I started by die cutting the Border Bling: Skinny Postage frame.  I popped it up for a bit of added dimension.  The flowers are from the new Flourishing Florals stamp set.

I embossed the sentiment (from the Vintage Postcard Sentiments set) using white detail embossing powder.  The sweet little bird is from the Feathered Friends Mini 1 stamp set.

 

 

My final card today features the new Feathered Friends 1 die set.

The sentiment is from the Feathered Friends Mini 1 stamp set.  I found a few pieces of Bitty Bigs patterned paper scrap and decided to add them to my card.  To ground them, I added some large zig zag stitching at the bottom.

I framed the card using the Love to Layer: Aztec die set.  I embellished the card using a few clear hearts from my stash.

Today we are sharing projects featuring the new Flourishing Florals stamp and die set, Just Sentiments: Hugs stamp set, To Die For Sentiments: Long Distance Hugs die set, and Inside Greetings: Sending Hugs.

My first card features the new To Die For Sentiments: Long Distance Hug die.  I think this is a sentiment that is not only perfect for this specific point in time, but can be used any time really!  In fact, this card will be sent to some family members in Europe.  It's always the perfect time to let family and friends know that you care! 

So that the sentiment would stand out a bit more, I die cut three of the sentiments and adhered them together.  I really like how "solid" the die cut sentiment looks when layered like this.

 

The flowers are from the new Flourishing Florals stamp set.  I used bright and cheerful colors and backed them with a coordinating watercolor wash.

 

 

 

 

My second features more of the gorgeous Flourishing Florals stamp set!  I don't think I will ever get enough of these flowers! 

I wanted a bit of a different look so instead of stamping the solid flower background (each flower has at least two steps) I lightly sponged only the edges of the flowers.  This added a bit of color, which helped to properly line up the next two stamp layers.  It also allowed quite a bit of white to still show through, which is exactly the look I was going for.

The sentiments are from the new Just Sentiments: Hugs stamp set.  This is another must have sentiment set for me.  I love how these sets are so affordable and have different sentiment options.

Ink to Paper - June Release Day 1

You guys...this release is SOOO fabulous!!  Seriously, it's probably my most favorite ITP release ever!  ❤️  I mean, they had me at rainbows and flowers!  Trust me, though, there are so many other must haves as well!

Today we are sharing projects featuring the new Playful Patterns stamp and die sets, Love to Layer: Aztec dies, Playful Patterns: Rainbow dies, and To Die For Sentiments: Rainbow die.

When I first saw the Playful Patterns stamp and die set I think I actually gasped!  I love it so much!  Even though many of the sentiments in the Playful Patterns set are geared towards baby cards, this truly is a set that I will be using a lot!  I'm smitten with the different patterns in the rainbow!

I chose to combine the following colors:  Aqua Mist, Soft Stone, Hawaiian Shores, Tropical Teal, Enchanted Evening, and Spring Rain.

In this photo, you can see the little embossed details on the Love to Layer: Aztec dies.  Aren't they lovely? 

 

 

 

My next card features the Playful Patterns: Rainbow dies along with the To Die For Sentiments: Rainbow die set.

 

I again used one of the Love to Layer: Aztec dies.  I really like the fresh and fun look of them!

The sentiment is from the To Die For Sentiments: Rainbow die set.

Happy sigh...  I truly love all things rainbow colors!  In fact, if my husband would let me get away with it I would most definitely go all Punky Brewster in our house!  If you don't know who that is...well it was a show about a young girl who wore and surrounded herself with all the rainbow colors!
