Ink to Paper July New Goodies!

Hi there!  I hope you all are having an amazing week!  Things here in Montana have *finally* started to warm up!  It has only been a handful of weeks since the snow was still falling here.  I'm pretty sure the weather has been confused, wondering if it's winter or so called summer.  Much like I have been confused as to what day it is...is it weekend or weekday?!?  LOL!

Did you SEE all the new goodies in the Ink to Paper store?  This month's release contains such a variety of products, a style for just about everyone!

I have a card to share with you featuring several of those new items!

 

New flower dies!!  Happy sigh...  Into the Blooms is a gorgeous collection of standalone floral dies.  One of my favorite things about this set is how easily they can be combined with other sets.  Even sets/dies with varying styles.  These dies really lend themselves to many different looks so they will work with just about anything!

 

To build my card, I started by lightly stamping the Nifty Plaid background stamp using Kraft ink on the Kraft background layer.  I like to use a tone on tone look for cards that will have a lot of other things going on.  Subtle backgrounds all the way, man!

The sentiment is from the new Just Sentiments: Just Because set.  I LOVE this set!  It's so perfect for these times.  I think we could all use some "just because" cards or for someone to let us know that we are missed!

I added some subtle ink shading onto the die cut flowers, giving them a bit more depth.  That super cute bird is from the new Feathered Friends 2 die set.  Isn't he the sweetest?!!  😍

Ink to Paper - July Release Day 2

Welcome back to more sneak peeks of the July Ink to Paper release!  There are SO many more new products being shared today!

Tomorrow, Ink to Paper will release some seriously wonderful new stamps and dies!  As always, the new release will go live on the 15th of the month at 10 pm ET.

 

My first card features the new Here's to You set!  This set is chock full of different drinks...in different sizes and styles!  You can create a drink for almost anyone!  I also love how this set pairs so well with others!  Here I combined it with both Beachy Keen and Flourishing Florals.

I framed the focal images using the Border Bling: Tribal Frames (released last month).  I love the subtle embossing so much! 

To draw more attention to the fruity drink, I added just a bit of glitter to the bottom of the glass as well as the umbrella.  I also bent the sentiment stamp a bit to fit onto the curved banner.  That is one of the best things about clear stamps...you can shape them how you want and then afterwards they go back to how they were created!  :-)

 

 

For my next Here's to You card, I chose a masculine theme.  I used earthy, neutral colors and kept my embellishments to a bare minimum.

I added some "foam" to the tops of the beers using Fun Flock!  Do you guys remember Fun Flock?  Ha!  I don't think mine has seen the light of day in YEARS!  LOL!  It was perfect for this though!

For the background, I used the new Cover Plate: Herringbone.  I chose a tone on tone look by layering the kraft die cut over kraft cardstock.  I did add a bit of ink blending behind so it would more easily draw the eye to my focal images.

 

 

My next card features the new Bee-utiful set.  This is another set that has SOOO many different images and sentiments!  I love how many different bees are included!  Big, small, left facing, right facing...this set has it all!

 

I started my card by ink blending Dark Indigo ink over Spring Rain cardstock using the Stencil Basics: Hexagon stencil.  After removing the stencil, I toned down some of the lighter Spring Rain areas by blending some Blueberry Sky over the top of select areas.  I then splattered on some white paint.

For the rectangle piece, I created a frame using the long leafy image and smaller flower.  For embellishment, I added some tiny wooden hearts.

Ink to Paper - July Release Day 1

Hi there!  Can you believe it's already time for the July Ink to Paper release?!!  I can't believe how fast this summer is flying by!

In two short days, Ink to Paper will release some seriously wonderful new stamps and dies!  As always, the new release will go live on the 15th of the month at 10 pm ET.

 

My first card features the new Growth stamp set.  Not only is this set FULL of different plants but also a whole bunch of customizable pots as well!

As soon as I saw this set I couldn't help but think how perfect it would be paired with the Rustic Brick background stamp!  Here, I stamped the Rustic Brick stamp in Soft Stone.

 

I clustered three of the plants together and anchored them on the long shelf (also included in the set).  

 

My next card again features the new Growth set.  This time, I paired it with a die cut (from the Geometrix: Hexagon die and the new Cover Plate: Herringbone.

 

To add a bit more interest, I filled in a few of the rhombus shapes...giving it a different look. 

This set is perfect for experimenting with new color combos!  Here I chose Honey Nut, Tropical Teal, and Autumn Rose to pair with the Dark Indigo background.

My next project is a trio of cards featuring the new Graceful Wings set.

I created three cards using the same layout.  I chose cheerful colors, I mean you can ever go wrong with cheerful colors, right?!!

I stenciled on diamonds using the Diamonds Stencil, giving the background a tone on tone look.

My next card features the new Love to Layer: Flower Fusion die set along with the Just Sentiments: Just Because stamp set.

 

I just love all of the details ins this die!!  So pretty!

 

I paired the die cut image with a flower and leaves from the Flourishing Floral set.  I kept the design a simple black and white and used the flower to add a pop of color.   The sentiment is from the Just Sentiments: Just Because set.
