My first project is a brand new card I created featuring the Simple Flowers stamp set and coordinating Simple Flowers die set. I stamped and die cut many of the blooms and leaves and tucked them under the sentiment strip. It's hard to tell from the photo, but the top part is a dark gray and the bottom is black.

My next set of cards are ones that I created for the Crafty Friends Blog Hop. Both of these cards feature the Winter Rose and Crafty Friends stamp set.

Embossing is hands down my favorite and most used stamping technique! In fact, I would think it's safe to say that I emboss on 98% of all my cards. Yep, I'm an embossing fan! :-)

I embossed images from the Lovely Laurel stamp set. I started by embossing the stems using the previously released Transluscent Pearl embossing powder creating a very dark brown (almost black) look. I then filled in the leaves using the new Antique Rose, Copper, and Platinum embossing powders.

The trick to embossing this many layers (especially on a dark cardstock), is to cover the cardstock with anti-static powder after each layer.

I really love how the embossing powders stick out on a dark cardstock background!

Here are the projects that I created...

I have always been a fan of Altenew's flowers! They have so much detail and I adore the multi step process, allowing me to add color depth. So when I saw the new Winter Rose set, I knew I had to have it!

I created two very similar cards, just changing up the card base color and sentiment.

Even though there are several stamping steps to complete each flower, I found them very easy to line up thanks to the printed guide on the back of the stamp set packaging. There is also something so exciting about watching each flower come to life as each layer is stamped...I love it!

On each of the card bases, I repeatedly stamped the largest rose image from the Craft Friends stamp set. Both sentiments are also from the Crafty Friends stamp set.
