Ink to Paper August Release - Day 4

Welcome back to the fourth and final day of the August Ink to Paper release! 

 As always, the new release will go live on the 15th of the month at 10 pm ET.  Today we are sharing projects featuring new Shutter It stamp and die set, In Stitches: Acorn die set, and Inside Greetings: Grateful stamp set.

 

You guys, the new Shutter It die set is PURE GENIUS!!!!  Oh my goodness!!!  I'll be honest, I was a bit intimidated when I first received it because I'm not a super technical stamper.  I was pleasantly surprised though, because it was easy to assemble!  I love interactive cards/projects but rarely create them because of the amount of time they usually take.  This new die set is very well thought out and makes it simple (not to mention time saving) to create the CUTEST window cards!!

For my window, I started by ink blending several yellows together to give the look of a warm light inside.  I stamped the sentiment (don't you just LOVE this font!!?) and then accessorized with the included little house plant.  I also tucked in  a stamped and die cut cat (from the new Scaredy Cat set) so that it looks like it's peeking out.

Here's a peek at the front while the shutters are closed.  They slide very easily, which is another thing that I'm impressed about!

 

For my second card, I used the shutter die from the Shutter It set in a completely different way.  I love the subtle texture the die cut has and thought it would look cute stacked together for a color blocked background.

I added some stamped and die cut flowers from the Ravishing Ranunculus set.

This is another sentiment from the Shutter It stamp set.  I really do love the sentiments and fonts in this set!

 

My third and final card features the new In Stitches: Acorn die set.  I think these little acorns would make the cutest little ornaments, don't you think? 

I stamped the Nifty Plaid stamp set on the background using Kraft Ink.  I wanted to keep the design light, so I used a lot of white.

The sentiments are from the previously release Just Sentiments: To & From Essentials set.  The embellishments are some pieces that I had in my stash.

Ink to Paper August Release - Day 3

Welcome back to the third day of the August Ink to Paper release!  There are SO many more new products being shared today!

 As always, the new release will go live on the 15th of the month at 10 pm ET.  Today we are sharing projects with the new Ravishing Ranunculus stamp set, Clearly in the Vase stamp and die set, Cover Plate: Trellis die set, and Feathered Friends Mini 3 stamp set.

Oh mylanta!!  These flowers!!!  I am 100% completely smitten!  😍  Add that sweet little bird in and the new Trellis cover plate and well I'm just a goner!  LOL!

 

I used the new Cover Plate: Trellis in the background.  I die cut it from Pale Peony cardstock and layered it on Raspberry Fizz.  The die cut sentiment is from the new Border Bling: Grateful Vine die set.

 

The sweet little bird is from the new Feathered Friends Mini 3 stamp set.  I am seriously loving the Feathered Friends collection!

 

My second card features the new Cover Plate: Trellis, Ravishing Ranunculus stamp set, and Clearly in the Vase stamp and die set.

I layered the Cover Plate: Trellis onto the same color of cardstock for a tone on tone look.

I die cut and stamped the flowers on Kraft for a more earthy look.

The sentiment is from the previously release Thankful Thoughts stamp set.  For embellishment, I sprinkled on a few gold sequins.

 

My final card again features the new Cover Plate: Trellis die set.  I love how delicate it is!  And even though it is delicate, it die cuts easily...meaning I don't have to baby it.  I LOVE that!!

 

I die cut the Trellis using glitter paper from my stash.  I also decided that I didn't want it to cover my whole card so I randomly cut around some of the shapes.

The sentiment is from the previously release To Die For Sentiments: Birthday and the leaves from the Lovely Leaves set.  I framed it all using the Border Bling: Skinny Diagonal die set.

 

Before I go I thought I'd share some photos.  There is a forest fire really close to us.  Thankfully the fire fighters are doing an amazing job and their initial response was quick.  Unfortunately, the wind is not cooperating and it's still growing.

I took this photo from our driveway (that's our house on the hill to the left) just after the fire first started on Tuesday afternoon.

I took this last night from our yard.  😳

Ink to Paper August Release - Day 2

Welcome back to the second day of the August Ink to Paper release!  There are SO many more new products being shared today!  Soooo many Fall/Autumn themed items today and I couldn't be happier!

 As always, the new release will go live on the 15th of the month at 10 pm ET.  Today we are sharing projects made with Border Bling: Grateful Vine die set, Feathered Friends 3 die set, Framing Fall stamp set, and Framing Fall Sentiments stamp set.

 

My first card features the new Border Bling: Grateful Vine die set as well as the new Feathered Friends 3 die set.

 

I am really loving all of the Border Bling dies!  They all coordinate with the Border Basics: Rectangle die or they can be used alone...just gives you more options and design options!

For my card, I started by die cutting the Border Basics: Rectangle die from Smokey Shadow cardstock.  I then die cut the rectangle using the new Border Bling: Grateful Vine die.  I backed it with white cardstock to lighten the overall design a bit.

 

Isn't that bird the absolute cutest?  I really like all of the embossed details this die set has...it adds so much texture!

The sentiment is from the Border Bling: Grateful Vine die set.  I added some ink shading to the bottom to help it stand out a bit more.

 

For my second card, I again chose a more modern Autumn color combo.  I started by stamping the background using True Black and Honey Nut using images from both the Framing Fall and Framing Fall Sentiments sets.

 

For the focal image/sentiment, I die cut and stamped one of the large borders from the Framing Fall set.  The Thankful sentiment is from the Framing Fall Sentiments set.

I added a narrow strip of True Black cardstock to help ground the sentiment strip even more.  For embellishment, I added a couple of wooden leaves.

Ink to Paper August Release - Day 1

Welcome to the first day of the August Ink to Paper release!  There are SO many more new products being shared today!  This is probably my favorite time of the year...end of summer, leading up to Fall.  Autumn is my absolute favorite time of year and I love all of the stamping goodness that comes along with that:  leaves, warm colors, leaves, pumpkins, leaves, Thanksgiving, and did I mention leaves?  :-)  Fall also leads up to Christmas...gah!  I can't wait!  😉

 As always, the new release will go live on the 15th of the month at 10 pm ET.  Today we are sharing projects made with Hello Pumpkin stamp set, Border Bling: Leaves die set, Inside Greetings: Halloween stamp set, Scaredy Cat stamp set, Just Sentiments: Halloween stamp set, and Hay Bales die set.

 

My first card features the new Hello Pumpkin stamp and die set, Border Bling: Leaves die set, and Inside Greetings: Halloween stamp set.

I am in love with the new Hello Pumpkin set!  Three multiple step pumpkins, leaves, and stems (not to mention a couple of super cute sentiments) make this the perfect Fall set!

I chose some traditional Autumn colors but backed it with white for an overall clean and fresh feel.  I framed the sentiment using the middle smaller leaves frame (from the Border Bling: Leaves die set).  So that they stood out a bit more, I lightly sponged the edges of the leaves and then off set them a little.

 

Here's a peek at the inside of the card.  The sentiment is from the Inside Greetings: Halloween stamp set.  I added a few more die cut leaves to tie in the design from the front.

 

My second card features the super cute new Scaredy Cat stamp set.  I love these cats so much!  I also love that they are not necessarily just for Halloween but can be used all year long.

 

Both of the sentiments that I used are from the new Just Sentiments: Halloween set.  These little sets are small, inexpensive, but are jam packed with different sentiments in a variety of fonts!  I LOVE them!

 

And oh my gosh, did you SEE???  Hay bales!!!  How fun is that?!!!  There are two different sizes, small and large.  I didn't remove any of the die cut pieces because I liked the subtle texture.  :-)

Holiday Create-A-thon: You're Amazing

Hey friends!  I'm back today with another project for Ink to Paper's month long Holiday Create-A-thon!  For the whole month of November, there will be brand new Fall and Holiday inspiration every day over at the Ink to Paper blog! 

Today I'm sharing a card featuring the Rustic Brick Background and Just Sentiments: Tagged sets!

 

I know I've mentioned this before, but I seriously LOVE background stamps!  I especially love ones that can be used for almost any occasion, like the Loosely Woven or Rustic Brick sets!

 

I was kind of going for a rainbow color scheme but I ended up using more Autumn colored hues.  I decided to just go with it and added some leaves (from the Lovely Leaves set) to continue with the Fall look.

For the background, I embossed the Rustic Brick background using black detail embossing powder.  I then sponged on some Distress Oxide ink.  The die cut thanks is from the To Die For Sentiments: Cursive Thanks die.  I stamped the You're Amazing sentiment (from Just Sentiments: Tagged set) onto a die cut banner (from the Banner Builder: Basics die set). 

Fun stamping fact:  Vellum has always been (and still is) my absolute favorite specialty paper!  There is SO much you can do with it!  With a minimal amount of effort you can achieve extraordinary results!
